In February 2009 he was appointed to the Committee for Development Policy by the United Nations Secretary General, and in 2010 he was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence), one of Pakistan’s highest civil awards by the President of Pakistan. The inspiration for this logo came from an giant panda called Chi-Chi which was sent to the London Zoo from China in 1961, the same year that the WWF was being formed. As they were aware of the fact that they required a strong and recognizable symbol which would overcome all cultural and language barriers, the WWF’s early founders agreed on making the giant panda it’s official mascot. The first sketches of this logo were created by Gerald Watterson, a British environmentalist and artist. Based on these initial designs, Sir Peter Scott (one of the founding members of the WWF) penned down the final logo. Although the overall design has been updated several times since it’s inception, the panda remained relatively unchanged.
Neville Isdell is the former chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company where he worked for 43 years. Neville took the world’s largest beverage company to new heights during his tenure. He expanded on the company’s proud legacy of corporate responsibility by embedding sustainability throughout every facet of the organization and helping ensure its role as a community-connected twenty-first century enterprise. From 1996 to 2004 she was President of the World Conservation Union (IUCN), and Member of the Board of the World Resources Institute (WRI) during the same period.

Prior to becoming President a.i. Neville Isdell was Co-Chair of WWF-US and former board member of WWF International from 2012-2018. The shirt is a nod to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which underwent a name change to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2002 due to a legal dispute with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The wrestling panda on the shirt was never informed of this name change, and continues to proudly represent the WWF.

The World Wrestling Federation (now operating under the name World Wrestling Entertainment) utilized the letters “ WWF” for their marketing material and general advertisement. As the World Wrestling Federation had no legal claim to the “WWF” trademark, they had to re-brand themselves as the “WWE” (World Wrestling Entertainment), leading to a victory for the World Wildlife Fund(it should be noted that they obtained a considerable monetary compensation from this wrestling entertainment organization). Through research and thought leadership and by building action platforms for multi-stakeholder dialogues, WWF helps inform the development of solutions coming from the Summit, accelerate action and challenge the outcomes of the Summit when needed. With a presence in over 100 countries, that align systemic transformation with area-based conservation, WWF provides the Summit with real opportunities to translate concepts and commitments into action on the ground. The Coalition will focus on key sectors of the economy, starting with the energy sector which is both critical for Vietnam's long-term development and currently responsible for the largest share of the country's greenhouse gas emissions. The Coalition's action-oriented focus will include championing the massive adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures by commercial and residential buildings, in collaboration with the Million Green Homes Initiative. At the same time, the Coalition will also promote different programs such as smart cities, green production and dual use of agriculture land and renewable energy.
In 1993, she created Fundacion Futuro Latinoamericano,an organization dedicated to promote the sustainable development of Latin America through conflict prevention and management. She was its Executive President until 2006 and remains as Chair of the Advisory Board. Former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Judge Navi Pillay, has accepted to Chair the panel leading the independent review which was announced on 4 March into allegations raised in the media in the context of WWF’s conservation work.

He was a lead author for the Third and Fourth Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and has written over 100 scholarly papers and book chapters. Dr Najam is a former Trustee of the International Board of WWF International (2011-2019) and has served on multiple other Boards including as Chair of the Luc Hoffmann Institute and South Asian Network of Development and Environment Economics. He has frequently served as advisor to international organisations and NGOs, and to governments across the world.
A Nigerian national, born at Obosi, he studied Classics at University College, Ibadan, and graduated in 1959 with a London University Honours Degree as a College Scholar. After 2 years with the Commonwealth Development Corporation, and 4 years in the Nigerian Foreign Service, including a period at the United Nations, he joined the Commonwealth Secretariat in 1966.

In 1989, he was elected senior vice president of the company and appointed president of the Northeast Europe/Africa Group and led the company’s re-entry into new markets in India, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union. Yolanda was appointed Minister of Environment for the Republic of Ecuador, position she held from 1998 until 2000.
