About this deal

You might think you know the story already because you read the headline, but I assure you, dear reader, there’s more to this terrifying tale of death and cursed metal. They enjoy the arm left on the swing at the end of the story, as well as spotting where the bottom is and which of the sandcastles were made with the bottom.

Today, Nobot and most of the rest of these stories are part of Star Wars Legends, though its appearance in this game does seem to at least indicate that Disney and Lucasfilm might be open to bridging a version of this creepy droid back into the Star Wars canon of today. Paul Linnet was born in Brighton and grew up in the Midlands, reading Tintin and playing classic 80s video games, before becoming obsessed with scribbling, writing, guitars and motorcycles. The children enjoy this story a lot, it has relatable pages such as a swing, and building sandcastles. We have also include a resource that allows your Year 1 / Year 2 class to cut out the questions and answers and match them together.I understand I can change my preference through my account settings or unsubscribe directly from any marketing communications at any time. Your class will then either create their own adjectives to describe No Bot in the picture of choose adjectives from the list provided. Pre-school children find bottoms hilarious and so there's no doubt they will find plenty of entertainment in this picture book. The book is beautifully illustrated and the story is guaranteed to have you and your child laughing… I can't recommend any of the Sue Hendra books highly enough, seriously if you've never read any of her books then you MUST! Colourful, cheerful and very funny, it's a lovely children's book for them to read alone or share together.

Bird was using it as a nest, but it was too heavy; Bear used it in his drum kit, but it was too tinny; the Squirrels built sandcastles with it…and now it looks as if they’re sailing away in it. They made up a story about a fish with fingers and then a slug with a doughnut for a shell, and now no one can stop them from writing more and more frankly ridiculous books.I read this book a few times over the Christmas 2022 holidays as it was a gift for one of my grandchildren. Afterwards the children have done lots of different activities, such as writing lost posters, making story maps, making junk model robots and writing their own stories. Hilarious, but please, don't read this for the first time if you're just getting over acute pneumonia, like me, you'll turn blue for laughing because of it. When crawling inside as a Protocol Droid, Nobot appears again in front of you with its legs missing and exits the crawlspace. Your KS1 class must place the adjectives into the correct sentences to complete the passage/sentences.

The illustrations are colourful, full of expression and just the cover of the book will draw you in. Your Ks1 class will use the words or pictures from the mat to complete the sentences linked to the story. When you spot the droid a small cutscene plays in which you see it holding a valuable Kyber Brick before it poofs away near the entrance of a small building. He studied Graphic Design at Derby University, and later moved back to Brighton where he met Sue Hendra. Even weirder, there are stories of this droid being taken out into the desert and left to die, only for it to find its way back to Mos Espa every single time. The trio walked past Nobot, who had burns down the right side of its body that scarred its plating and right photoreceptor black. In 32 BBY, [3] the droid was walking down a street on the edge of the Mos Espa spaceport on the planet Tatooine when Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn arrived in the city with Queen Padmé Amidala and the Gungan Jar Jar Binks.

This is the second book I bought from Sue Hendra and have every intention of expanding my collection. If you dare enter and follow that droid, you’ll experience the one and only creepy moment in this game.

If you’re brave enough to push further into the home in pursuit of the droid, you’ll be treated to a short cutscene of it staring at you with a tilted head as ominous music builds and the camera zooms into its blank, emotionless face. This little cheeky (or should I say cheekless) robot, with a coy-smile, holding his bottom( or where his bottom should be) is sure to have your child giggling even before you open the book and start reading. We have created six different resources for this activity so you can choose which best suits your kids. The story takes Bernard on a journey to visit different animals to try and retrieve his bottom, when he finds it Bernard and the animals he met on his journey celebrate with a wiggling, jiggling bottom dance.
