About this deal

In addition, the Snow Edition incorporate an ultra-fine Daikoku copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) voice coil to form a lightweight suspension system. The Aria Snow Edition is another gorgeous looking IEM from Moondrop with its beautiful Snowflake faceplate design. The solid body and functional design of the "Moondrop Aria Snow Edition'' add to its unique architecture, being more reliable.

I’m not a fan of MMCX connectors in general because they potentially have issues with frequent cable swapping, so 2-pin connectors are quite welcome in my book.I’m actually curious if the KXXS still further improves on what the Aria is already putting on the table on a pure performance standpoint or does the Aria completely put the KXXS out of it’s place as the more analytical and better presentation?

Similar to the KZ ZSN Pro X, the cable comes pre-bent and wrapped in a smooth plastic sleeve to go up and over your ears. Warm mild V-shaped with laidback upper-mids that benefit long hours listening with sprinkle of upper treble on top for micro details. If you’re someone who enjoys listening to music while commuting, then you know the value of a good pair of earphones/IEMs. All in all, if you find your Snow boring, the KAI seem a logical sidegrade since it follow similar tonal balance with more bass and more lively dynamic presentation. I won't be talking about unboxing or accessories since there are tons of youtube videos and reviews on this page already noting every elements on those kind of thing. The overall tonality also follows my own target quite well to where you would have body to male vocals without being affected by bass bloat and there is still room for instruments to shine. In my experience, the Starfields are a warmer and slower version while the Aria has controlled bass, faster transients, and more analytical details? I would classify this sound signature as fairly balanced, leaning towards being slightly bright, and it's one case of measurements not telling the whole story. Initially I had some accessories missing upon unboxing but, Thanks to the HeadphoneZone's excellent support team, the incident was handled efficiently and I was provided with a new replacement unit. Personally i don't think Moondrop Aria provided a solid value at the MSRP it is competing and selling at, there are a lot of other options which does thing that Moondrop Aria does way better but as an all rounder, i think Moondrop Aria still provides a good first IEM for people who just getting started into the hobby.

The Dioko is even more resolving and arguably better tuned too, although it is also much more subjective to fit.In my experience the difference between the two was pretty much negligible, but it’s nice to have the options. The upper midrange is the focal point of the Moondrop Aria Snow Edition that is produced with a decent sense of clarity and resolution when I do listen to instruments like a violin, piano or flute or to female voices like Adel or Aretha Franklin. If you want a good sounding set of buds with nice looking metal housings, the Aria ranks as a great option. The second type has a larger core diameter (55mm) which fits the hybrids/multi-BA IEMs, such as the Blessing 2, Solis, A8/S8.

People needing earbuds for exercise may find something to like here, but the lack of a microphone limits its functionality elsewhere. Only folks in need of supreme noise blocking should consider something else or better ear tips, given that isolation isn’t the highlight feature here. Rather than utilizing a one size fits all bent over-ear cable, Moondrop could’ve just implemented an integrated memory wire instead, to avoid disproportionate pressure anywhere along the ear. After all, all ears are different and the depth of the ear tips and stems really makes a difference in your results. If MOONDROP were to reduced the Aria pricing to 50usd, i would give double thumbs up recommendation for the Aria.If you’re a musician in a studio or live setting you should get a lot out of the Moondrop Aria SE; I was reminded of the sound of the classic Sony MDR-7506 over-ears while using them. As with the intended tuning, there are no metallic timbre and in the opposite, it sounded very natural to my ears due to cymbals and not apparent 8khz gain in the tuning, it makes things sounded super natural and organic compare to cheaper single DD sets from KZ/TRN/QKZ.
