It’ll be a lot, but you can compete against yourself or others to see who can get the lowest discard score. The player will then lay down all his/her books and/or runs, discard one card, and count the cards remaining in his/her hand as points against him/her. You can’t double-count cards for books at the end, but holding this at the beginning of a round is a smart idea to help you find matching cards. Each turn starts with either drawing a card from the deck or picking up the top card from the discard pile.

Five Crowns is a rummy-style card game where the objective is to have the lowest point total after all eleven hands have been completed. It contains 15 of my favorite card games you can play with a single deck of cards and a brief description of how to play each one.To begin, take the top card from the draw pile and decide which of the 11 piles you want to play it in. To play Five Crowns by yourself, simply play the game as you normally would, though you won’t be able to draw from the discard pile (Why would you? I also include a handy table, breaking down each game in terms of difficulty, number of players, and the time it takes to play. So, when 3 cards are dealt, the 3s are wild, when 4 cards are dealt, the 4s are wild and so on until the last round when the Kings go wild. In the second round deal 4 cards, in the third round deal 5 cards and so on until the last round when each player is dealt 13 cards.

The deck includes five suits with 11 cards in each suit (3 through King), as well as six wild cards. Watch For Sets Over Runs For Faster Matches – There are 10 of each card, so your odds are pretty good of getting sets. You can have as many wild cards or Jokers in a book as you wish (and they may be adjacent to each other).
