As Paul tries to keep his Sleeper status a secret, “The Awakened” quickly adorn him with the status of unwitting profit.So in summary this is a really good book, that get's you thinking long after you have put it down, but be warned.

Nod” is a profoundly creepy, often disturbing book, mixing Lovecraftian pessimism for humanity’s lost ability to understand itself or the roots of its own reality, with a yearning need for an impossible transcendence.The world is thrown into chaos when 99% of the world's population spontaneously becomes incapable of sleep, and are forced to steadily succumb to sleep deprivation psychosis. The Land of Nod ( Hebrew: אֶרֶץ־נוֹד‎– ʾereṣ-Nōḏ) is a place mentioned in the Book of Genesis of the Hebrew Bible, located "on the east of Eden" ( qiḏmaṯ-ʿḖḏen), where Cain was exiled by God after Cain had murdered his brother Abel.

There are many speculations about where the land of Nod may be, including Arabia, India, and even as far away as China. As most of the world tries to recover from a sleepless night, it becomes clear that this is a global event. It is filled with parables and commentary from the author, who so happens to be a vampire in the Masquerade universe. Better still, it was accompanied by another old favourite by the same author, A Duel, in which a gingham dog and a calico cat have a furious fight and devour each other to the last shred.
