If every season had a character as rare as Mr Gold in it, then sure, that is more like loot box odds. You have a chance to get what you want in each case as it is here – not .01% of a chance the character is even in your city let alone the case in front of you. This feels like its encouraging an element of gambling, which I don’t believe is compatible with LEGO’s values, especially as these are aimed at kids. It also makes people more likely to buy more and more to get the characters they want, which encourages waste.
