About this deal

Along with small independent retailers, you’ll find well known high street shops, department stores and boutiques selling everything from gifts and souvenirs to clothing and jewellery. A former fishing town, Weymouth these days relies mostly on tourism for its economic survival. Weymouth appears to have developed since the 12th century, though the first mention of the town was in the 13th century, by the end of which it had become a significant seaport.

Overlooking Weymouth Harbour, the Nothe Fort was built in 1872 and played an important role in WWII. It’s now been renovated and converted into a museum staffed by an absolutely lovely team of over 70 volunteers, with loads of WWII memorabilia including some big guns and cannons along the ramparts. It’s also been voted one of the spookiest locations in the UK! The fort is supposedly haunted by the ghost of a gunman who died in the war, known locally as the Whistling Gunner. Monkey World It’s only a short walk to the marina where you can enjoy a waterfront stroll round to the harbour for something to eat or to watch the world go by. Food and DrinkOsmington White Horse - Climb to the Osmington White Horse and enjoy wonderful views along the Jurassic Coast on this circular walk in Dorset Walk the Historic Harbour – the busy harbour in Weymouth is lined with colourfully painted buildings on both sides. This seaside resort in Dorset has some fine coastal walks to try. There's also some pretty nature reserves with lots of wildlife to look out for. Weymouth has rail links with London Waterloo and with Bristol, it can be reached by road via the A354 from Dorchester, it is also a ferry port with ferry links to Guernsey, St Helier and Saint-Malo. Weymouth Caravans A casual, quirkily decorated space in the town centre, Nautico Lounge is hard to define. Part pub, part bar, part coffee shop, part restaurant… the name “lounge” really does sum it up well. This is one of my favourite spots for brunch, thanks to the all-day breakfasts. The food is good, there’s something to suit everyone on the eclectic menu, and the atmosphere is nice and casual. The lounge is also both dog and child-friendly! Al Molo

South West Coast Path - This incredible 600 mile walk follows the coast from Minehead in Somerset, through Devon and Cornwall and onto the finish point at Poole in Dorset The street is known for its medical establishments, most notably The Harley Street Clinic built in 1935. Over time, larger institutional and residential buildings replaced earlier Georgian terraces at its intersections with Marylebone High Street, Portland Place and Great Portland Street. In contrast, central sections of the street still " retain much of their former domestic scale and character." [9] The street was lined with trees in 2010 as part of a neighbourhood community and stakeholder-based greening initiative. [10] Notable residents [ edit ] Marylebone extract from Charles Booth's 1889 London survey of the lives and occupations of area residents. You will never be short of things to do for a family day out in Weymouth, with an abundance of natural and themed attractionsfor everyone to enjoy! Westminster City Council (September 2007). The contemporary budget accommodation chain has two locations in Weymouth Dorset. There’s one on the seafront, next to the Sealife Centre, as well as a newer property about a 5-10 minute drive from the beach. Weymouth B+B

Seated on a beautiful bay, Weymouth boasts one of the finest beaches in Dorset. There’s a pretty seafront lined with Georgian buildings, a traditional fishing harbour surrounded by pastel-painted houses, and a sandy beach lined with attractions and food stalls, making it perfect for families. In fact, there’s really nowhere better, because Weymouth is one of the places where the very idea of the British beach holiday was born.
