About this deal

They both had that enemies tone in their voice which helped build up the story in the audio so freaking well! don’t be fooled, that doesn’t mean quinn doesn’t radiate confidence and sex appeal, as oak lovingly says.

I’m starting to see this is going to be yet another enemies-to-lovers sports romance 95% of my friends seem to love while my heart remains unmoved. E. Ricci magic, and you are left with a story so delicious it won't be the ice sending chills up your spine and making your toes curl. It’s no secret that when it comes to writing I would read this woman’s grocery list if she handed it to me. Regardless, I’m looking forward to the next books in the series even if I expected a different pairing for the next one. CE Ricci reached into my chest and grabbed it right from page one and took it on one hell of a ride. One example of things I have great difficulties thinking a guy would do: tattooing his astrological sign. But the writing and telling of their story was so cohesive and flowed so well that when it was over I couldn’t be sad because it felt like absolutely nothing had been left out.

I like reading about hockey so I liked seeing two main characters on the ice, loving and hating each other almost at the same time.

I know this is a romance and the superstitions were a big part of the overall plot, but I wanted some other things to happen within this. This wasn’t one of those times, everything pulled together and I as a reader was left wanting for nothing.

The angst in this book isn't non-existent, but it's pretty low-key; at least, the bigger conflict is pretty quickly resolved. Though these two protagonists embarked on their journey as adversaries on and off the ice, a transformative encounter at a fraternity gathering acted as a catalyst for their gradual metamorphosis. He's an open gay (although sometimes it didn't appear like it) he's one of the main keys I the mayor plot twist. I thought the transition into enemies with benefits due to this stupid superstition was completely stupid. The ROMANCE is our most loved enemies-to-lovers troupe, sport-romance and sexual-relationship, fuck-buddies, as they start a fuckbuddies relationship as a deal to maintain a crazy superstition, to win the Frozen Four Winter Tournament (some crazy shit here, fellas). i probably shouldn't have hopes for the future books in the series, but some characters caught my attention and i'm curious to see how Holden's story will go. This story was just everything it was perfectly casted in audio when Liam DiCosimo was emotional , so I felt it!

Other thing I didn’t disliked but I would preferred in another way and in lesser quantity, and these are the sexual scenes, there are too many from my pov, and too little plot development in comparison. While Oakley is a self-assured gay man, this new relationship for Quinton is life-changing and his first relationship with a man. So when a losing season starts to turn around after a random night when these two randomly get down and dirty together, what do they decide to do? I picked this up because I was really in the mood for M/M and it definitely scratched that itch for me.For example, at one point they had a full five minute "I hate you" heated conversation (in full and articulate sentences, which is not how teenage guys talk) in the middle of a game.
