About this deal

I managed to clear several of them with a hefty shake, but one did require me to remove the hopper and fish the offending round out. Nerf brand blasters, alternative-brands, modifications, community made designs, competitive wars, Humans vs. Alternatively, the Nemesis can also be powered with the Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack, should you already have one of those at home. But the problem with those solutions, of course, is that you have to design them and build them yourself. That adds to the heft of this already heavy blaster and the Rechargeable will both save you a ton of cash and lower that weight a bit.

If you want to take part in an intense head-to-head battle with power and precision, look no further than the Nerf Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K blaster! The firing mechanism is similar to the Khaos and Hyperfire in that it uses a conveyor belt system to deliver the darts to the flywheels rather than the pusher arm used in earlier NERF blasters like the RapidStrike. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Usually, when you hold down the trigger in full-auto the range and speed drops as the flywheel cannot keep up. There is always a short delay until the first round is fired, but this is more than injection style autos like the RapidStrike, and far larger than a semi-auto like the Stryfe for example. Unlike previous blasters, the Nemesis uses a large removable hopper with an agitator that advances the rounds into its flywheels.

So, when you pull the trigger the conveyor belt hooks up the rounds at the bottom of the hopper and moves them towards the flywheel. Last year we made sure that we got some amazing stuff so that we could have even more amazing Nerf battles and we were all happy campers. This mechanism is powered by 6 D-size batteries, so this baby is ready to power through some long sessions. All this and it fires NERF Rival high impact rounds which fire faster, around 100FPS rather than the usual 70FPS for Elite blasters and much more accuracy than NERF Elite darts. The high Impact rounds are smaller and lighter than the N-Strike darts, so they just seem to run out of steam, it’s weird! I did find that if you were stationary for too long, the Nemesis didn’t load up properly and you had to shake the balls down to the conveyor.

Although the NERF Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K Blaster is a lot of fun, I wouldn't want to drop it on a hard surface. When you combine that with its 100-round capacity and fully automatic firing, the Nemesis is a seriously mean machine. But it’s worth pointing out that you do sometimes need to shake the blaster a bit to allow the rounds to be sucked into the funnel. The Nemesis has a fully automatic firing system and a firing capacity of 100 High-Impact Rounds that are loaded via a purpose-built hopper system.

The Nemesis MXVII-10K is named after Nemesis, the Greek goddess who enacts vengeance on those who succumb to hubris. Like the Khaos, I was also very impressed with the way the muzzle velocity held up in auto-fire with the rechargeable unit. The rear sight on the top doubles as the catch, so you flip this over and then you can remove the hopper. I am still amazed that the best performance I have got from the Rival range is the baby Appollo’s 102 FPS!
