I’m so glad to hear that! I think a lot of recipe simply don’t explain the whys and hows of the dreaded macarons. They aren’t that difficult, really. You just need to know what the techniques really do to master them. Although it's referred to as a "small" macaron baking sheet, it's rather a large mat (42cm x 33cm; 17"x13") and so the small is referring to the size of macarons, not the macaron mat itself. They were a pretty pink color until I baked them. Then they turned brown. And i think the bottoms are a bit more done than they should be. They are a bit crunchy around the edges but still pink inside. The top of the macaron must have a smooth and risen surface, much like the top of a burger bun with crumbly-textured feet or pieds just below it, followed by another thin, straight, and smooth bottom surface.
