About this deal

From there came seven more "Bridgerton" novels, each devoted to a different sibling; several spin-off books; and the hit Netflix show "Bridgerton," which first premiered in Dec. Overweight people have no difference in happiness (morbidly obese people do), and they die earlier - sucking fewer resources from the public and saving all the skinny taxpayers money, much like smokers do. So we should pay much greater attention to improving the working conditions, pay and status of the low-skilled jobs so that people don't feel desperate to escape them - or dissuaded from joining them. With each Bridgerton novel, something new was revealed, and by the time I finished On the Way to the Wedding, she had become my favorite character in the series. Namby pamby arguments, the whole point of this book seems to be to promote the author's schtick as "working class professor".

He spends sooo much time on "Wooing" others but he has no time for at least try and see what's in Matt's heart.

But instead I found it to be more like a text book for academics on the subject of happiness complete with graphs, or in the case of my kindle ARC no graphs, which wasn't helpful. This entire section is largely the author pushing his own narrative: for example, he berates us for judging those that choose to give themselves diabetes and lung cancer because, perhaps they've judged the happiness of a cigarette or a pizza outweighs the long-term effects. I’ll admit that even I don’t know how to craft a story revolving around the naming of nine infants (not all at once, thank heavens), so I decided to start the 2nd Epilogue right where the 1st Epilogue ends—with Lucy giving birth for the last time. Without a doubt, readers’ favorite scene in The Viscount Who Loved Me (and perhaps in all of my books) is when the Bridgertons get together to play Pall Mall, the 19th century version of croquet.

The ending made my heart soar (the climax had me capital S Stressed, even though a happy ending seemed the only possible outcome for a book like this). Boasting about good deads is fine, the personal gain from it is not harmful and we should concentrate on the good that was done. The casual trope subversion and unabashedly queer cast offered a twist on fantasy that kept me endlessly entertained.

They are viciously competitive and completely dismissive of the rules, having long since decided that the only thing better than winning is making sure your siblings lose.
