About this deal

Thank god I read this post - was about to exchange my Commander Core XT which came with my icue7000X. I'm teaming this with i5 10600k and RTX3060ti already running on my system. I'm just moving to new case, PSU etc.

HOW TO SET UP CORSAIR iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT

and why dont you try saying you have the fans you have in icue or pic the ones with the most RGB and the other will do the same but you wont have all the rgb on the fans itself? i mean lets just say that the LLs have 30 RGB LEDs for simplicity and the MLs have 15. you pic the LLs in icue as all your fans and all 30 LEDs of the LLs light up and the 15 on thje MLsIntelligent fan detection simplifies the fan setup process, allowing iCUE to automatically identify the specific fan model connected to each RGB port. yes you would be able to change the color of the QL fans. but certain sequential RGB effects will play wrong. Hey' can anyone help me with a issue I'm having which I noticed after replacing the first Faulty Fan. Can I add the SP120 onto the Commander core as well?I don't care too much for fan speed control on the SP120, they can run at 100% for all I care.

Update device firmware with iCUE – Corsair Update device firmware with iCUE – Corsair

Zotty ok so I have the Corsair 5000D Airflow, the H150i Capellix 360 AIO, and 10 extra ML 120 fans (total 13 fans) 3 RGB front and 3 RGB side, original 3 RGB AIO set to push inside the top mounted Rad set to exhaust, 3 non RGB in pull on top of the rad and 1 non RGB as rear exhaust. The 6 on the Rad are all connected to the Com Core as well as the rear fan via an PWM splitter. here is my set up.. its not what you are after but does show the use of pwm repeaters... 32 fans.. 1 commander pro The first time I set the system up the 6 QL 120mm Fan light wasn't working, but it was powered and the fans are (Blowing Air) the commander pro is better if you plan on having temp sensors in your case. if not then in my opinion the commander core is the better way to go as it does the RGB and PWM in one device.Configure the lighting effects of the 3-pin device connected to the RGB port by selecting 3-Pin Lighting Effects. You can also run the setup wizard if you need help with setup.

core and commande core xt How to connect commader core and commande core xt

Summarized: I put the Commander Core XT and the Commander Node Core on my 2 internal Mainboard USB 2.0 Ports. Then I put my AIO USB-Plug on the USB-Port on the Commander Core XT. Lastly I connected the PWM-Plugs of 3 of my 5 QL Fans, which are connected to the Core XT, to an external PWM Splitter (which handles a total of 6 QL-PWMs.) 2 QL-PWM-Plugs are connected to my AIO and the last 2 QL-PWM-Plugs are directly connected to the Mainboard. iCUE will update your device firmware. Do NOT disconnect your device while the update is happening. Assuming you have the COMMANDER CORE (which comes with ELITE CAPELLIX) and COMMANDER CORE XT, that wouldn't be a bad configuration at all - having six fans on one controller and the remaining on the other. I was intending to add 2 or 3x of the QL120 fans to this commander core. But reading what you wrote, it would seem that I would not be able to alter the color scheme or fan speed on these fans as they are not the same ones used on the H100i?

Don't buy anything and connect the rear fan to a mobo's header. This won't allow you to control the rear fan through iCue.

Commander CORE control different rgb fans? Can Corsair Commander CORE control different rgb fans?

I switched from Commander Pro's to Commander Core XT's and noticed that the Zero RPM does not work for my LL or QL fans. They only ever spin at their minimum speed (between 500-600 RPM). I've forced the firmware install on both my XT's and there's been no change. Adding a Lighting Node CORE controller would be an ideal solution if you need to connect more than six RGB fans. The CORSAIR iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT lets you intelligently control up to six PWM fans and multiple RGB components while accurately monitoring system temperatures, all from a single device. To daisy chain a second internal USB device (e.g. a cooler), remove the cover of the daisy chain connector, connect to your second device, then connect the COMMANDER CORE XT to a motherboard USB 2.0 header. My Core XT is connected to the Mainboard USB, and on the Core XT is a Lightning Node Core. On my XT are 5xQL Fans and the iCue LS100 (4 stripes). The Node Core handles also 5xQL Fans.
