About this deal

Starts out very bright and spicy, settling right in to the cocoa bean heart note. Stays mellow and ambery, with the cedar wood providing a strong, peppery foundation for the fragrance to settle on. Without looking like any masterpiece, but if it seems remarkable, because of what I mentioned before and because unlike many of his time, like 1 Million, Kokorico is balanced in all its phases. For the Hand & Body Lotion: Now you can have your favourite scent in a luxury cream that will look after your hands and body. A lush creamy hand and body lotion rich with vitamin E and nourishing coconut oil which makes your skin feel silky and soft. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Contains No Sulfates, No Parabens, No Phthalates & is Gluten Free. That can be fig leaf, no question, but also the leaf on almost every tree that bears fruit in the south as well as in the west. Its predominant notes are patchouli with cocoa, vetiver and little else. It may have some wood, but the rest are very light notes.

After this short hint of freshness, it becomes dark (again) - resins and consecrated smoke combine with pencil cedar and a fine sweet that seems to come from chocolaty rather than gothic patchouli. Kokorico" seems to me to be the forerunner of fragrances like Sentifiques "Testostérone", Diors "Sauvage" and all the powerhouses whose virility often overflows buses, trains, supermarkets. It is impossible to smell Kokorico and not draw parallels with two other, rather excellent masculines; Guerlain’s L’Instant de Guerlain and Thierry Mugler’s (sadly discontinued) B*Men. The fragrance is certainly derivative, and whilst it may seem like a mishmash of the two aforementioned masculines, it seems less spicy than B*Men and not as rich as L’Instant. Despite it’s derivative nature, Kokorico does have it’s own identity and I certainly wouldn’t shun it because of the similarities. Diffuser Oil: A lot of our customers use our oils with home electric diffusers, but fiddling with the roller ball top can be an inconvenience so we are happy to bring to our range 15ml dropper bottles, simply add drops as per your requirements and enjoy the fragrance, less hassle, less mess. As Kokorico develops, the patchouli and vetiver become more pronounced and they work nicely with the cocoa to create a smell that is not only masculine, but also cosy and comfortable. My only real problem with Kokorico lies with the quality of the woody notes which, despite starting out relatively dry and warm, become stronger, more obtrusive and ‘synthetic smelling’ within the base. You will receive a 100ml pot which holds around 70g of fragrance dust, which will give between 30-40 hours of burning time. But the marketing of fragrances has to operate on an international scale today, and I doubt that German, British or Chinese men or women consider the rooster's wake-up call a plausible name for a scent.

One drop from the Apo was enough to wrap me in a transparent aura, well perceptible even the next morning, but not slaying, not too dense. Superb scent from JPG...just got a bottle today, and right from the first spritz I was impressed. Being a huge fan of JPG's Le Male line, I wondered if I would be getting another oriental scent (a la Gaultier² from 2005) that was a distant spin-off of Le Male. Instead, I get a distinct, warm and woody semi-gourmand perception from Kokorico that lets me know this is NOT an unstated Le Male flanker. Staying-power is mediocre, too - after two hours you're done with your "mating call". Other men's fragrances reveal their beguiling potential only after two or three hours... The man, who is rarely enthusiastic about the fragrances I test, which I wear, said "Ferragamo pour Homme", which he liked many years ago, followed sometime by "Tuscan Leather", "Fields of Rubus" - my memory doesn't give much more. For the Reed Diffuser Refill: You will receive a 100ml plastic bottle filled with a special compound blended with a fragrance of your choice. The Reed diffuser refill can be poured into the bottle you already have and use the same reeds. Please Note: You will not receive the glass bottle or reeds shown in the picture as that is for illustration purposes only.

The base is a pleasing blend of cocoa, patchouli, a flash of vetiver and quite a large amount of vanilla. It is just a shame that the woods try to take over at this point, and their synthetic hue can’t seem to help but ruins things slightly. For the 15ml, 30ml and 60ml Extract Spray: In 2021, the market trend has changed and PP are keeping with that trend. Customers want beast mode performance, and with the extracts you get exactly that; amped up formulation with added booster ingredients that will give you better longevity and sillage. Although slightly higher priced, its worth that extra amount if you love to make a statement with your fragrances. The concentration is higher compared to our normal EDP sprays mentioned below. For the Wax Melts: You will receive a 50g (approx) plastic container, filled with 7-8 pieces of wax moulds blended in a fragrance of your choice, each melt will give around 1 hour burning time. Kokorico starts relatively green, with a sweet and spiky fig leaf note, there is also a pleasant figgy milkiness that acts as an undercurrent that runs throughout the fragrance. The most noticeable part of Kokorico is the cocoa, and surprisingly the cocoa doesn’t turn Kokorico into a gourmand, there is enough dry wood to balance the cocoa and give the impression of warm, slightly bitter woods.
