About this deal

Also keeping the mystery alive throughout because just when I thought I knew who the murderer was, something shifted that changed the outlook on the situation completely. stars because I did predict the killer towards the end - though to the authors credit (who to my surprise is a guy 👏 🙌🏻) I did go back and forth on a few assumptions so he had me guessing for a while. She's full of quick wits, but she's also pretty judgemental at times too - especially of poor old Audrey. Problem is, each date seems to be worse than the one before, and then comes the mother of all dates, a serial killer intent on murdering all of her previous dates!

A twisty, fast-paced and darkly hilarious modern murder mystery set in the terrifying and mystifying world of online dating, Don't Swipe Right is perfect for fans of Bella Mackie's How To Kill Your Family and Netflix's You. The entire situation is quite boring for Gwen, until the men she met on the app start getting murdered. I'd say it's similar in vein to Sweetpea in that it's far fetched, but as the reader you're still happy to go along for the ride. The book effortlessly draws you in, immersing you in its intriguing storyline and well-developed characters. I just only have it 4 stars as Gwen did give me pick me vibes every once in a while and it made me cringe.

Oh, yeah, so I'm no stranger to internet dating, but the idea of Tinder and having strangers out there swiping left and right on me just freaks me out for some reason. I was laughing but also on the edge of my seat, these dates were so humorously horrid I couldn’t get enough. Gwen is tryna get back in the saddle after a traumatic breakup, but things goes from bleak to abysmal when her dates start getting picked off one by one. on the wrong road on the wrong side of town, and then got annoyed that he couldn't find me and turned off his phone and went home and didn't contact me again until weeks later. Grew é simpática mas irrequieta, propensa a ações impensadas, um risco ambulante, caótica, um desastre, confusão, perigo, não tão fidedigna como aparenta, e com um péssimo gosto para homens.

I was so invested in the story and seeing who was behind the murders and the connection (LOL) to our main character. The stories of all of her terrible dates are hilarious, and I probably would have taken a golf club to that one guy, too. when every guy she’s been on a date with turns up dead, and the police are looking at her direction, Gwen is determined to find out who the killer is. You'll come for the addictive murder mystery , and stay for the brilliant satire of modern dating at its worst. Throughout the story we are given different suspects and just when I thought I had figured it out another curveball would come my way.I absolutely loved Gwen’s Character, she’s quite savvy and I really enjoyed her witty one liners, she had a fantastic sense of humour, sometimes it was quite dark, which is very me, so I did find her very funny. not that mine ended up dead but its still nice to be able to relate to the sheer insanity that's the world of online dating. Perfectly light, and a page turner keeping you engaged, wanting to keep going to find out what happens next. The only difference between Gwen and me is my stories include the requisite mind bleach whereas Gwen’s include a body count and the unwanted attention of a serial killer *smirks*.

The mystifying world of online dating gets a terrifying, clever, and darkly hilarious twist in this unputdownable thriller. Problem is, the men she goes on dates with (some terrible, please don’t happen to me kind of dates) start showing up dead. A good palate cleanser if you just finished Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter or something equally gory and depraved.Chilton is a journalist with fifteen years' experience working on TV shows such as This Morning , Loose Women and The One Show , as well as writing columns for Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Metro and The Mirror . For those unfamiliar with the Honda Civic Reliable rating, this means it's a SOLID book that I would still happily recommend but it's just lacking that je ne sais quoi to take it into 4/5 star territory. He works from home in London, thinking of twists for murder mysteries and practicing the banjo instead of writing (much to the annoyance of his neighbours).

Gwen and her longtime boyfriend, Noah, broke up, and being a younger woman, she immediately joins a dating app to “get back out there”. Swiping through the few eligible bachelors left in town, she spends her evenings out on one disastrous date after another.I guess my expectations for men writing women's experiences is resting at the ocean floor with the 16-eyed critters that haunt my dreams, but I was really impressed with how he captured the dates and our knee-jerk reaction to be 'nice' and try not to upset the beast. It's not deep and dark and going to take a week to get through, but it's absolutely perfect and such a breath of fresh air! I won't say that Gwen will be everyone's cup of tea, but think of her as a grittier Finlay Donovan or like the FMC of any Lindsey Kelk book.
