The rhyming style is great for children who like to figure out that final rhyme when the reader pauses. I do prefer a good story and this one just doesn't compare to the many great children's books out there. A fun extension to the story would be to create some of those fun Halloween snacks like peeled grapes and do a brussel sprout taste test too.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book by myself, however I can imagine hooting with laughter with young children, especially when I read lines such as, "He LOVES to glug slug milkshakes, through a stinky hosepipe straw.

I love to create worlds for young children to enjoy and escape into – whether the stories are educational, bedtime, problem solving or just plain good fun. You will be very amused at what his most favourite sandwich is and how he savours the taste of it when he sits down every tea time and indulges until his tummy is full.Although the text is enjoyable, the author breaks away from the predictable rhyme scheme a few times, which is jarring to the reader.
