About this deal

Sadly, there’s no sRGB emulation mode that would allow you to restrict the monitor’s native ~135% sRGB gamut to ~100% sRGB. So, if you want accurate sRGB color output in color-managed applications, you’ll need to profile the monitor using a colorimeter. Approximate diagonal size of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the diagonal is calculated from the width and height of the screen. Just like the LG 27GN800, the LG 27GL83A has a specified 99% sRGB color gamut, yet it actually supports wide color gamut. The difference, however, is that the GL83A model uses its sRGB gamut natively and only extends to DCI-P3 when an HDR signal is detected. The storage humidity shows the lower and upper humidity limit, which ensures safe storage of the display. Storing it outside these limits might damage the display.

While the LG 27GN800 uses a different panel, it performs very similarly to the LG 27GL850 and the LG 27GL83A models. The monitor also supports high brightness and contrast and comes with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. What’s more, the unit sports 92 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut as well. As a result, games set in dark environments like Metro: Exodus and Resident Evil will look really great on the unit. But that’s not all. With support for high-refresh-rate, you can easily play titles like Call of Duty and Ghostrunner on the monitor with ease. 3. LG UltraGear 27GN800-B Moving on, the LG 27GN800 monitor has a peak brightness of 350-nits, so it will be more than bright enough under normal lighting conditions. The contrast ratio varies from 700:1 to 1000:1 depending on the individual panel, but most units seem to reach around 850:1.

Information about the average amount of time, in which the pixels change from one color to another. Who says that you have to go all out for a gaming monitor with a curved screen? With the SAMSUNG Odyssey G5, you get a 27-inch curved display, and the unit is coincidentally one of the best 1440p, 144Hz monitors out there. It’s not without its faults, however. TL;DR: Don't use the included stand if you can, although it looks nice and is stable, you cannot adjust it in any way. A vesa stand is a requirement IMO. Others might even prefer the extra color saturation, in which case it’s an awesome display, especially when it comes to fast-paced games! Specifications Screen SizeErgonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mount If size matters to you, the Acer Nitro ED323QU offers a 31.5-inch screen for your needs. What’s more, is that this is a curved display as well. However, you will have to contend with a VA panel here. Despite the specified 99% sRGB color gamut, the LG 27GN800 actually supports a wide color gamut, covering pretty much the same amount of the DCI-P3 color space as the other LG models with the quoted 98% DCI-P3 gamut. With a 1500R curved radius, the Acer Nitro ED323QU offers a completely immersive experience with its 31.5-inch display. You also get slim bezels with the device as part of Acer’s ZeroFrame design ethos. It should be noted that the monitor supports 100mm x 100mm VESA mount points. So, you can seamlessly install the monitor on a different arm, or a VESA wall mount. DisplayPort 1.4 allows for 2560×1440 144Hz with 10-bit color depth, while HDMI 2.0 is limited to 1440p 144Hz 8-bit. VRR is supported over both DP and HDMI with a 48-144Hz range. There are various panel technologies. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The image quality depends directly on the type of the display panel used. TL;DR: Motion clarity is very good due to almost nonexistent motion blur. The advertised 1ms response time is still marketing bs, and requires that the OD setting be turned to 'fastest', causing overshoot. If you comeacross a different type of panel or your LG 27GN880-Bdoesn't correspond to our review, let us know, and we'll update the review. Note that some tests, like gray uniformity, may vary between individual units.

Fluid Gaming Motion

Compared to traditional IPS panels, the Nitro XV272U makes use of an Agile-Splendor IPS display. Tech jargon aside, the Nitro XV272U’s panel offers a superbly low response time that is significantly snappier than normal IPS panels. In the case of the Acer Nitro XV272U, the response time is just 0.5ms, which makes it even better for gaming. 2. Acer Nitro ED323QU Information about the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image. Before I start, so people may know of my previous experience, this monitor is replacing a 3 year old Acer XB281HK, a 4k 60hz TN panel. This is my first foray into both IPS technology as well as high refresh rate panels. Do with this info as you will. Fast’ and ‘Faster’ are too aggressive and introduce too much inverse ghosting (pixel overshoot), so you should avoid them. Adobe RGB (1998) is a color space, developed by Adobe Systems in 1998. It has a wider gamut than the sRGB (mainly in the cyan-green range of colors) and is widely used in professional printing.
