I have read many books about walking before crawling and there are exercises in these books to get a child to walk earlier and maybe even skip crawling. I’m sure every parent wonders whether his/her baby is “normal” and if they are doing the “right thing.This year, as we celebrate the opening of our Auckland office, we have published the first ever report for New Zealand. Across the countries included in our survey, LGBTQ+ employees were most likely to be out with friends (average 92% across countries), but this percentage dropped consistently in each country with respect to family (82%), colleagues (76%), and clients (45%). To foster inclusivity and encourage employees to be comfortable being out, the article outlines concrete actions that companies can take across the employee life cycle. Even after taking the step of sharing their identity at work, many LGBTQ+ individuals choose to, at times, keep that information to themselves. Its student-centred learning, to moving students through that sort of support and centring their needs to a place where there actually are able to direct their own learning when they leave and move to UTS.

So, we very much see that having a kind of welcoming, fun, open environment before the semester actually starts, where students can get to know their main teachers and program managers and each other is very important.So, the pressure that students feel in their HSC is very different to what they might experience learning in a pathway institution because we want them to be comfortable in their learning. And you might find that you might need to move in a slightly different direction because what I have found from talking to a lot of students from my program is that they often, are quite confused about where they want to go and what they want to do but they feel like they have to get it all solved now or else they’re going to be too old to do anything. These delays were subsequently due to the result of missed or under-developed milestones in the first year of life. Our survey found that LGBTQ+ employees who are out at work are more empowered and feel more comfortable about speaking up, being themselves, and building close friendships at the office. Overall, when averaged across all 19 countries in our survey, 58% of LGBTQ+ respondents said that they had experienced discrimination—and interestingly, except in Sweden, this rate was highest among those who described themselves as “partially out.
