About this deal

What I take away from Chasing Sunsets is this ... bad things happen, but evil doesn't come from God. We will never understand the heartache of this world. We have to remember to call upon Jesus, he will be there for us. The enemy will win some battles, but not the war. Hearing the angel, Jag say "In Jesus name" gave me chills every time. The only downside to this novel . . . it has a cliff-hanger ending of sorts. The good news is that the third book in the Angels Walking series is scheduled to hit book stores this fall. I for one can't wait to see where this journey takes us next. Angels are incredible beings of higher cognition, peace, and wisdom. They are literally the messengers of God, and so an angelic being who is near you or who is watching over you with their awareness focused in your direction has a way of evoking a profound sense of emotional warmth, love, peace, and harmony. When you encounter this angel sign, you feel loved unconditionally, comforted and you feel in that moment at ease, and like all is well. You're able to see and remember good and beauty in the world. Somewhere in heaven, a decision has been made. An Angels Walking team has been assigned to a desperate mission: a broken baseball player, the love he left behind, and the miracle that might save a whole city. When angels walk, most people never know, never see. But they are there. And sometimes the stakes are so high, all of heaven stands ready. Tyler Ames wants to be a pitcher in the major leagues, but a injury in the minors sets him on a course that he never saw coming. I enjoyed the story and the whole idea of angels working God's will on Earth based on Hebrews 13:2 was a great ides. I love God and baseball so this was the perfect combo for me. Only a couple of things wrong with the story. Tyler signs a contract saying that if he injured the team won't pay for it. That would never happen. Also at the end of the story Tyler ends up in a position that also would never happen. Maybe that is another of God's miracles. A team of Angels Walking take on the mission to restore hope for Tyler, Sami, and Virginia. Can such small and seemingly insignificant actions of the unseen bring healing and redemption? And can the words of a stranger rekindle lost love? Every journey begins with a step.If you read Angels Walking then you've been introduced to Mary Catherine, Marcus, Sami and Tyler. Chasing Sunsets is Mary Catherine's and Marcus' story. Mary Catherine lives in Los Angeles with her roommate, Sami, and volunteers at a local youth center with Tyler Ames and LA Dodger Marcus Dillinger. Despite Mary Catherine's intention to stay single, she finds herself drawing close to Marcus, and their budding romance offers an exciting life she never dreamed of. That is, until she receives devastating news from her doctor. News that alters her future and forces her to make a rash decision. Understand that while angels are always supporting you, there is a limited extent of what they can do without interfering with your free will. I cannot wait to read more from Karen Kingsbury. Her books have changed my life for the better. Each time I read one of her books I learn more and about God. I also learn more about myself. Thank you Karen Kingsbury and her team for sending me an early copy of the book it means a lot to me. Also thank Netgalley for sending me an eArc in exchange for an honest review.

As expected from Karen Kingsbury, this was a great conclusion to the series, however I did feel it drag a bit in the middle. I got very frustrated with Mary Catherine in this book. In book 1 and 2 I felt she was a strong character, but in this book I felt she was acting selfish and almost like a spoiled child who makes decisions based on their will.
