Used in both aerial and space battles, the Hell Talon has a sleek form resembling an elongated double-axe head. Vectored engines allow for superior manoeuvrability. Superior in combat to almost any Imperial airship of any class. Its armament consists of twin-linked lascannons, either an autocannon or Havoc Launchers, and incendiary bombs. Blightlord Terminators are 40 points per model, and their cost includes combi-bolters (3) and melee weapons, including Baleswords and Bubotic axes. This means that on the whole they dropped 3ppm while gaining a wound (well, soon anyways). That’s a welcome change! The Heldrake can also be armed with a Baleflamer in place of its Hades Autocannon. The Baleflamer is a daemonic Flamer weapon that allows the Heldrake to heave out the great gouts of daemonic Warpfire roiling within their chests. The burning ichor that rains down upon their prey ignites flesh and soul alike.

Heldrake Fear Squadron - Heldrake Fear Squadrons consist of at least three and up to five Heldrakes. These formations are usually the first sign of a Chaos invasion, as the Heldrakes shriek from the skies before the main body of the Chaotic invasion force. At the start of the third battle round, select either Wanton Massacre or Wanton Slaughter; until the end of that battle round, your army (and every unit from it) is engaged in the wanton act you selected.Helbrutes got a very weird points change, which is kind of a nerf – they’re now 110 points per model, which includes most of their weapon options, but averages out to a net increase for things like a pair of fists (+10) or fist + scourge (+5). The weapons you pay extra for now are Multi-meltas (+5), heavy flamers (+10), twin heavy bolters (+10), and twin lascannons (+20), as well as combi-bolters, which are now +5 points instead of 3. The result is that most builds got more expensive. The Khorne Lord of Skulls now has a base cost of 435 points, but this includes the Skullhurler and Ichor cannon in the base cost. Upgrades are comparable. Mortarion stayed at 490 points. This is a pretty good deal for the primarch, considering he’s T8 now.

Heldrake's are often the first wave of any full-scale Chaos Space Marine invasion. Fully capable of traversing space, Heldrake's will often cling to the underbelly of Chaos warships like a swarm of bats, feeding off the vessels energy through cables and pipes. Sometimes, Heldrakes will claim areas within warships for themselves, daring any to come oppose them. [4] The Chaos Space Marines traitor legions are the enemy of the Imperium, known for being warped and mutated by the four daemonic Chaos Gods; Khorne, Tzeentch, Slaanesh and Nurgle. Created during the Warhammer 40k Horus Heresy, the Heretic Astartes, led by Horus the Warmaster, turned against the Emperor of mankind. This act of heresy would lead to countless deaths and many centuries of endless war. Dark umbilical cables, sheathed in organic webbing, probe outwards from each Heldrake's body to burrow into the host voidship's outer surface, drawing away raw energy as a leech draws blood from its victim. Previously the Chainaxe (1) was the default loadout, but you now get power axes, swords, and mauls for free on the models (5 points each), bringing the cost of these down by 2ppm now that you’ll always be putting a power weapon on them (Power swords are strictly better than chainaxes). It also solves the gross problem of “how do I get 5 chainaxes on my terminators when a squad only comes with 1 on the sprue?” Also, there’s a pretty clear error in this section – it lists Reaper Chaincannons as a 5-point upgrade for Chaos Terminators, which is a weapon they can’t take. This doesn’t mean you can take chaincannons (though that’d be sweet), but it does mean that until this is fixed, Reaper Autocannons are free RAW. Thanks, GW. Lightning Claws are also free now, so double claw terminators have dropped by a full 5 points. Abomination - What daemonic essence drives the Heldrake known as Abomination, none can say, for the beast-machine broke its bonds and slaughtered its Warpsmith creators upon the very hour of its binding.
