About this deal

The author's note says something like "hope to see you again," so it's possible there might be a Volume 3 eventually. It's not necessary, but it could be nice to see more of their relationship developing. I would've liked to see more of Saeki visiting Wataru, maybe, since Wataru still lives with his family, or to have their friend groups fold together a bit. It seems like Wataru's coworker suspects some things, and would be supportive, and that would've been a fun moment. Me pareció una historia muy tierna y con un mensaje hermoso! Me encantaron los personajes! Sus emociones y su desarrollo.

Konishi launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine in November 2015, and ended it in November 2016. Ichijinsha published two compiled book volumes for the manga. La historia se lee en una sentada, se te pasa el tiempo rapidísimo y realmente es una historia super fresca y muy tierna! Lo recomiendo muchísimo. All in all, The Summer of You was a more than decent read and I’m sure that will appeal to ardent shounen-ai fans. Synopsis: Chiharu Saeki and and Wataru Toda are two high school students who share a common hobby: They love to watch movies. After they meet, they become fast friends, until one day, when Chiharu confesses his love for Wataru. Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favorite movies. But the more time he spends with Chiharu, Wataru realizes he may not only be as unaffected by Chiharu's confession as he claimed to be, but those feels may also be mutual.

Interest Stacks

I just never managed to get into them - well now, that’s an interesting thing to say about one’s exes…. Like, in small doses that sort of thing could be cute, kind of... but idk. That's all there is here. I mean I think I could appreciate a drama free, happy, just living our best lives, enjoying our relationship type of story... if I felt like they were actually having one. He also has an unintentional sarcastic streak, for instance responding to the main character in the following manner:

I got say while I loved the first one, this volume is a bit of a disappointment. Wataru and Saeki are in college now, and Wataru (it's mostly Wataru's perspective) considers them to be dating/in a relationship, and yet... they're still like, Oh, I couldn't possibly tell him my feelings, and he couldn't possibly be attracted to me, and Wataru's surprised when he learns one of Saeki's (career?) interests. As the title itself suggests The Summer of You is very much a light summer romance. The manga follows Chiharu and Wataru, two boys who attend the same high school and find themselves bonding over their shared love for film. When Chiharu confesses that he’s in love with Wataru, and while the latter is surprised and confused he claims that this won’t affect their friendship. During summer break they embark on various day trips to see various filming locations from some of their favourite films. During this time, you guessed it, Wataru starts questioning his feelings for Chiharu…Edit: oops parece que si tiene continuación. 😱 Aunque no tenga tanta buenas reseñas seguramente lo lea. Hola lectores! No puedo creer que por fin les traiga una reseña! Todavía sigo un poco con bloqueo lector, por lo tanto me esta costando engancharme en los libros. Mizuki Tsujimura ( Anime Supremacy!) and Kodansha published the original three-volume novel series in 2004, with a new two-volume re-release in 2007. Arakawa launched the manga adaptation in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine in December 2007, and ended it in April 2009. Kodansha published four volumes for the manga. True to his promise, Saeki chose a university in Tokyo after graduation - different from Wataru's, but close enough for them to (fairly) easily see each other. They are pretty busy, though...along with usual class loads, Saeki is doing some tutoring for extra money, while Wataru works at a movie theater (Saeki's suggestion). They still meet up on weekends to see movies together (both in theaters and at Saeki's apartment), and make a point of planning dates like a fireworks festival and another film-themed pilgrimage. Kodansha Comics began publishing the manga digitally on March 24. Junko launched the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine in June 2019.i loved their confession scenes (Saeki in the beginning and Wataru towards the end)!! the way they had done it was SO who they were as a character and it was the cutest. 🥺 The sequel promises to tell us more about Wataru and Saeki, now university students, passing another summer vacation together. I can’t wait to to see how Nagisa Furuya develops their relationship in the next (and final?) volume, due out in November 2021 from Kodansha.

There are lots of blushing and doki doki scenes. There's tons of my favourite thing: hand-holding. They kiss and confess their love. It's just adorable. My favourite moment was the moment just before it turns into a yaoi. It totally doesn't, it stays fully wholesome but there's one moment that heavily hints at what could have been which is fun because it triggers your imagination without ruining the vibe of the manga.I really like how much this story has progressed. The prequel focuses more on how the relationship of Wataru and Saeki came to be, as all stories do. More often than not, it ends there - like a perfect ending to a fairytail.
