Here's one for space fans and paleontology enthusiasts alike. The second novelty-shaped projector in this guide and it's surprisingly capable in terms of functionality, and during our Dinosaur Egg Galaxy Star Projector review our children loved it!
The differences between the two theories were equally important. Maldacena then surmised that this AdS/CFT duality would hold for other pairs of theories in which one had a single extra dimension, possibly even those describing 4-D spacetime akin to ours. You're not tied to a power source like with the Homestar Flux, and you don't have to keep changing the batteries as you do with the National Geographic model—again — another happy medium. It has built-in speakers to play AM/FM radio, an impressive five-year warranty, and it’s about as compact as the Sega Homestar.
This lamp also has a simple control scheme and a built-in timer for automatic shutoff. It’s also pretty versatile as far as power goes. You can use standard AAA batteries for ultimate mobility. However, a compatible power adapter will keep it powered all night long. Key Features: Generally, cheap star projectors are novelties that emit a mix of colorful swirling LED lights and class 2 lasers, which are low-power visible lasers—the same type used in laser pointers. While most models aren’t scientifically accurate, they provide a fanciful escape and can offer a calming experience. However, if you’re serious about astronomy and willing to spend more, you can find a star projector that can turn your room into a personal planetarium. So how do you get a hologram?
Something similar happens in AdS/CFT. On the CFT side, you can start with quantum subsystems—smaller subsets of the overall system you're describing—each with fields and particles, without any entanglement. In the equivalent AdS description, you'd have a system with no spacetime. Without spacetime, Einstein's general relativity isn't relevant, in much the same way that the equations of hydrodynamics don't apply to a gas of water molecules. But when the entanglement on the CFT side starts increasing, the entanglement entropy of the quantum subsystems begins to correspond to patches of spacetime that emerge in the AdS description. These patches are physically disconnected from each other. Going from patch A to patch B isn't possible without leaving both A and B; however, each individual patch can be described using general relativity. The downside of the Pococo design is that you only have 30 degrees of movement to shine the lights, although as you'll typically be shining this at the ceiling, this isn't a deal breaker. The lights are bright and vivid, and there is a fair amount of customization, but you'll need to use the supplied remote to access some of the functions (rather than being able to access them using the buttons on the device). Other star projectors on this list, namely the Bliss Lights models, offer more color combinations, but there's more than enough here to entertain yourself and your children. Those projectors let you recreate the feel of being in a planetarium in any room of your home. Those with whimsical or stylized images are better suited for kids. They may include aliens flying through the sky in spaceships and astronauts interacting with the stars. While these models are fun, they are generally better for kids than they are for adults. Remote ControlStar projectors often have a rotation feature to enhance your stargazing experience, usually toggled with a switch or button on the projector. Projectors without rotation display a static image, while a rotating projection provides multiple viewing angles. Look for a projector with different rotation speeds if you want something with movement, though note that most rotating projectors have small motors that make noise.
