About this deal

It might seem cliché to say the food in Italy is so good because it’s made with love, but I can’t think of any other reason. With each new bite, I understand more and appreciate the love that goes into making it… then it’s easy to see why it tastes so good! My gut instinct is to tell them to love themselves and recognize patriarchy that still exists in Italy and the rest of the world. It was a love and appreciation for everything I’d built, the people I’d met, and the person I had become in the past year–finally able to be realized.

Italy is an art lover's paradise, and it's no wonder foreigners can't resist the allure of its rich artistic heritage. The country’s capital city of Rome boasts beautiful art and intricately sculpted fountains seemingly in every square or corner. In the early days, we used to say to each other that if we ran out of things to say, then we would part ways. Since that first trip, I’ve covered large swathes of Veneto, Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Süd Tirol, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo, Sicily, Sardinia, Campania, Puglia and Basilicata by car, foot and public transport; driven along the stunning coasts of the Amalfi and the Cinque Terre; strolled through cities and towns like Rome, Milan, Venice, Verona, Naples, Florence, Siena, Assisi, Lecce and Bologna; and yet, there’s so much more to see and do, so many more culinary secrets to discover and countless wines to taste! I fell in love with Bernini's sculptures at the Borghese and with the restaurants at the end of alleyways, and the 400 year old building we rented an apartment in.

And in turn, dalliances with charming Florentines, Milanesi, and Veronesi have made me more than accustomed to how Italian men have honed the art of flirting.

As always, I struggled though my language classes and never put any more time than necessary into them.Italy is such a diverse country that no matter where you travel to, you will spot a different type of architecture than the previous place you visit. As I watched this very unique show, I wondered what the residents were doing to wind down their day.

As Americans love drip coffee, Italians decided to mix their espresso with a lot of water to please tourists in Italy.I decided to keep the champagne bottle we opened for your birthday and transform it in a lovely candle holder. Firstly we were seated upstairs which was quite a drab atmosphere, I’m not sure if this was because we had children but the downstairs area is much better. One of the things I love the most about Italy, and that makes me proud of being Italian, is its incredible beaches.
