About this deal

Finally, I want to add something that’s going to give us better chance at cracking open armor at range. GW put out a Kroot Kill Team (above), and it sounds like they want to expand on that part of the line. As I've theorised elsewhere, does this point to a trend of every army getting a new cp or will some of the later ones go through unchanged?

Dark Angels have been getting a ton of new models lately, so it only makes sense that they would also get a new Combat Patrol alongside their Codex. At the same time I want to take something that’s a bit unconventional — plus I think the model looks a lot better than the Darkshroud. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints. The new upgrades do only come with the one wing, but have three pairs of Ravenwing symbols (for adding to the sides of bikes).

Also seems like a bit stuff than some of the existing combat patrols, especially if the intercessors can combat squad. And for the last 10,000 years since the Horus Heresy, the Dark Angels have become obsessed with eradicating The Fallen and anyone who knows of them.

Was expected since we already had rumours about the contents but I still thought there might have been some mistake as the Gravis captain can't lead anyone here? all the recent boxes have been pretty light on value, so we wouldn’t be too surprised by an offering like this. In this series we’re going to revisit the older Combat Patrols, breakdown their points, and talk about where to build from that box. It is our mission to bring you the latest from the miniature wargaming scene, from narrative missions, hobby how-to tutorials, battle reports, unboxings and reviews, retro flashbacks, news, rumors, and more.It makes perfect sense from a GW point of view - keep the HQ out of the unit in combat patrol so you don't have a mini deathstar and have an extra independent piece and then also pushes the person moving on from combat patrol to get a gravis unit to escort the captain and leaves them open to any of the HQs to join the other squads. he Dark Angels are a dour brotherhood, characterised by their deep commitment to millennia-old rituals, loyalty, discipline, and self-sufficiency.

For flavor, we might sprinkle in a unit of Deathwing and Ravenwing each — but we’re not going to go hard in either direction. If this was a BA box with a new BA sprue instead of DA I'd probably pick it up and build a new fancy squad of intercessors with the new bling even though I have plenty of the basic old starter set guys. It is a new launch box with all the new Kroot stuff and two characters, and one is supposed to be a melee-focused Ethereal. You’ll also get two Dark Angels Primaris upgrade sprues for the aforementioned adornments and a transfer sheet with many decals to put on your models.Far more palatable to play against than the current incarnation and much better for a core force IMO. The main attraction of 40k is the miniatures, but there are also many video games, board games, books, ect.
