I have yet to test it on my skin, but I'm convinced that what I smelled in the vial is actually how this perfume is meant to be experienced. Guess by Marciano shares similarities with Fancy, but with the strong syrupy sweetness dialed down and tempered with citrus, musk and spice (cardamom). Glamorous yet understated with an undercurrent of elegance and intrigue, this fragrance is perfect for the man who wants to make a statement. For me this is dominated by a sweet amber from beginning to end, with various nuances along the way.

I have not worn it out and about yet, so not able to say what the reception by others is, I think I don't feel confident with it yet as it's outside my comfort zone still! During the heart I get vibes making me remember a time a while ago when I owned and loved Fantasy, the peanut note I always sensed also showed up here. Sillage, can start out anywhere from moderate to huge; dies down over time to eventually become a skin scent; very nice. This is perfect for a man in his twenties, from the 4h lecture in the afternoon to the 8 o'clock beer at the campus pub. powdery dust from a combine's ceaseless labour reminds her of home, and the farm-boy who became an officer and a gentleman.However, after you get over the initial sharp burst of alcohol, you'll get a fun and fresh blend of liquor, citruses and spices on top of vanilla undertone. Super vanilla warm sweet scent, with a freshness that wafts in and out to keep the projection on POINT. I told him I had just completed my walk through checks and he said he knew that was what he was smelling because he knew I was on shift and I always smell good. I can see their description of a "woody oriental" as it does conjure images of an eastern spice market. It's winter here in Canada now and I can't imagine wearing this in the dead heat of summer, it would be too much for me. It serves kind of that warm ginger/amber role and is a nice cheap alternative to The One situationally; just don't go into it thinking it will be the same.Yeah, I was pretty disappointed but what confused me more was how curacao, vanilla, and cardamom could smell like marshmallows. In fact citrusy freshness of grapefruit and spicy notes of cardamom precede a cute floral heart of peony and jasmine and this blend with a creamy musk and sweet vanilla in the base to maintain this deliciousness. This doesn't strike me as strictly a summer or colder months perfume, as I've worn this in both tropical places and cold European winter and I feel like it suits both.
