ACO HexDrain is a plastic A15 load class channel drain built from recycled polypropylene for high strength and high durability. Designed with 8 possible outlet positions, this unique A15 channel drain can be used in domestic drainage projects such as along garage thresholds, landscaping projects and a range of DIY garden and patio applications. Both the ACO HexDrain base and grate come in 1m lengths and the base has markings at 500mm for easy cutting and measuring.

The plastic grating with microgrip offers a non-slip cover for drainage systems around the house. In addition to the tried-and-tested nub structure, the grating is equipped with many tiny bumps that ensure surefootedness even in high humidity. The structure is moulded directly into the grate surface and is therefore particularly durable. The plastic grating retains its non-slip properties even after heavy use by being run over by a car. Each 1m length of HexDrain channel has eight different possible outlet locations in the base, you can choose any of these points to outlet from. Simply cut or hammer out your selected outlet point, the hole is approximately 65mm diameter then using the outlet connector (part of the Accessory Bag 19287) install the connector underneath your chosen outlet underneath the channel, the outlet connector has two locating arms which should connect to the channel, this then provides a vertical connection spigot directly onto the sump unit, the main disadvantage is that your access to the sump unit is restricted to 65mm diameter hole.The slate is the DPC. When the house was built it was positioned in the wall about 9 inches above ground level and its job was to prevent damp rising up the wall, and into the house.

When installed with either of the options shown above the outlet spigot from the sump unit would have an invert depth of 285mm from finished ground level. The HexDrain Sump Unit is designed to be installed in conjunction with either the corner unit or the outlet connector to provide a “catch pit” and a horizontal outlet connection onto 110mm diameter PVC-U underground pipe. ACO DoorWay drain is very similar to ACO Threshold drain except it’s wider and so will be more effective at preventing water from running into a property. If your entry pathway is at a slight slope running toward the house, it may be worth installing ACO DoorWay drain to prevent any water ingress. If anybody suggest silicone injections, rendering, or pouring concrete into the hole, kill them and hide their body in the cavity. Some ignorant buffoon has raised the ground level against the house so the DPC no longer works. You have got to dig out the ground to restore the correct level.
