The antipyretic effect is reported to be linked to the effect on the prostanoid synthesis due to the fact that the prostanoids are the main signaling mediator of pyresis in the hypothalamic-preoptic region. Common features include vomiting, dehydration, tinnitus, vertigo, deafness, sweating, warm extremities with bounding pulses, increased respiratory rate and hyperventilation. Some degree of acid-base disturbance is present in most cases. Overdosage with a topical presentation of ibuprofen gel is unlikely; however, it may be encountered following excessive use or accidental ingestion.

Don't use Radian B ibuprofen gel for longer than a few weeks unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
