About this deal

I’m sure it’s not a very nice poison, but when it comes down to it I don’t think any poisons are particularly nice and fluffy. When you’re trying to work out if it is indeed a rat hole you have found, there are some obvious giveaways. I have written an article about small holes in lawn overnight which outlines holes made by different garden pests. Let’s find out what you should look out for if you suspect you have rat holes: But with rats they pee a lot anyway as they run to mark their territory, so by making them pee more they get mortally dehydrated. The one I use causes dehydration which is fatal to rats, but just makes other animals that eat it a bit thirsty. Can you find out what that product is called, I can't imagine how it would work and would be really interested in understanding the underlying biology.I can try and find out tonight.

So hopefully you now have more of an understanding of how rats are attracted to your property and how to correctly identify a rat hole. Let’s summarise what we’ve learnt: Rats don’t always infest homes, in a lot of cases, your yard is more than adequate to meet their needs. If you have rats in your garden, the best thing you can do is figure out how they’re entering in the first place. After that, here are is are some ways to get rid of them: One of the best ways to prevent rats from taking up residence in your garden is by removing any potential food sources. This means that you need to keep your outdoor area tidy and free from any rubbish or leftover food. If you have a compost heap, it’s important to make sure that it’s covered so that rats can’t get to the food scraps. It’s also a good idea to turn the compost regularly so that it doesn’t start to rot.A friend has a 15 year old tranny van though, that should do - its like there is a tyre fire in the exhaust sometimes.

If you have found a rat hole in your garden then one thing that you can do is to flush it out with water. This will force the rats out of their nest and make it easier for you to eliminate them. The easiest way to tell if a hole was made by a rat is by looking at the size of the opening. A rat hole is usually 2-4 inches in diameter and is smooth from use. Overgrown vegetation is the perfect place for rats to hide and build their nests. If you have long grass, weeds or bushes then you need to make sure that you keep them trimmed on a regular basis. This will not only stop rats from being able to hide but it will also make it easier for you to spot any potential rat holes. The shed if full of flammable stuff plenty of which is soaked into the shed floor, so fire isnt an option unfortunatley. Rat traps with bait placed around your garden, is probably going to be your best bet, empty them every few days and keep doing this till their are no more rats, then move the shed. See above post re dog. The one I use causes dehydration which is fatal to rats, but just makes other animals that eat it a bit thirsty.

CarGurus UK Limited, c/o Legalinx Limited, 3rd Floor, 207 Regent St, London W1B 3HH, United Kingdom To do this, you need to find a hosepipe that will fit into the hole. If the hole is too small then you can try using a watering can. Once you have the hosepipe or watering can in place, turn on the water and let it flow into the hole. The pressure of the water should be enough to force the rats out of their nest. Im relocating the shed to the other side of the garden, so just want them gone for when I do that really. How could I smoke them out? I had considered a pipe from the car exhuast, but not sure if that will be enough. Could I flood them out?Plus I live next to a primary school, so perching in a tree with a rifle probably isnt the best idea.
