About this deal

You can tell from the start that Red is recovering from a trauma that has happened in her life. Since she can't afford to fly anywhere for break, her best friend, Maddy, actually suggests the RV trip. Good-naturedly, everyone else agrees. Twisty, compulsive and so, so clever' - Savannah Brown, author of The Truth About Keeping Secrets -

It's Spring Break and 18-year old, Red, and her five friends, Maddy, Oliver, Reyna, Arthur and Simon, are traveling from Pennsylvania to the Gulf Coast of Florida in an RV. The audiobook was super solid. It kept me going, wanting to know the answers. There were a lot of reveals I wasn't expecting and some super unlikable characters, which are always fun for me. I liked this one. I really had no expectations going in, Action stories can be hit or miss for me. I personally felt this was a compelling, though very-OTT, Action Thriller. that being said, i still managed to get somewhat bored with this. none of the characters are likeable and i didnt care if any of them died, the one setting itself (RV on the side of the road) isnt exciting, and the “secret” is very predictable. It was not all too long ago that one of those crimes woke up a small town. The case has since been closed, but the memory stays fresh in the minds of the people that live there. Andie Bell was just a young student at the time, just five short years ago. That was when her life was brutally taken from her. Declared a homicide, Andie was murdered.Oliver is a complete psychopath, and I'm sure that he was acting out of fear, but still, that was crazy, and so is he.

Red- Such a complex character, there's depth to her. I liked how consistent she was with herself, but I would have liked her more had she been a bit more outspoken instead of a pushover. Red Kenny is on a road trip for spring break with five friends:Her best friend – the older brother – his perfect girlfriend – a secret crush – a classmate – and a killer.you guys… that ending 🥲🤍 finally a thriller with an ending that didn’t feel too rushed or impractical Red Kenny is on a road trip for spring break with five friends: Her best friend – the older brother – his perfect girlfriend – a secret crush – a classmate – and a killer. When their RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, they soon realize this is no accident. They have been trapped by someone out there in the dark, someone who clearly wants one of them dead. With eight hours until dawn, the six friends must escape, or figure out which of them is the target. But is there a liar among them? Buried secrets will be forced to light and tensions inside the RV will reach deadly levels. Not all of them will survive the night. . . .

There’s a sniper out there. He’s watching them and he knows exactly who they are. One of the group has a secret that the sniper is willing to kill for. Simon- Honestly, he was the best of them. The humor he brought to the story was so easy to like. He was balanced, never overdoing anything and keeps the reader sane. And you know, it does start out that way. People are in good spirits. They're excited for the trip to get underway, but then they get lost.Reyna- Yeah no. Wasn't a fan. She's forgettable. Her sob story had no effect on me, I don't like cheaters. Red and her friends are on a road trip from Philadelphia to Gulf Shores, Alabama. It’s a long drive in an RV but it’s Spring Break and spirits are high. That is until they take a wrong turn and the RV comes to a halt in the middle of nowhere at night. It soon becomes apparent that it wasn’t a pothole or stray shard of glass that blew out the vehicle’s tires, but a gun. Somewhere in the dark, someone is watching the group. The sniper knows exactly who they are. And worse still, he doesn’t intend to let anyone leave until one of the group gives up a crucial secret. Did you know you can flag iffy content? Adjust limits for Violence & Scariness in your kid's entertainment guide. Get started Close With the ending, too, there were some things that were predictable while others were not. I still felt very thoroughly surprised with the resolution at the end, which was a welcomed surprise. I liked Simon too he was kinda funny. I really want more of Arthur but I guess we can't. His character intrigued me a lot. But still I don't like him for what he did.
