About this deal

Only thing I would note is in the item photo it shows the nerf gun with a See-through style dart-magazine but mine came with a full orange non-see through one but never the less the mag works fine and are the exact same other then Visual look (I bought 3 see through dart mags for fun and didn’t notice any performance difference) anyway It takes 4 C-type batteries and it wasn’t that hard to put in. If one were to add up all the holes in the metallic teal part of the shell, it would add up to exactly a hundred. Some of our vintage or prior versions of toy and game instructions may be more difficult to decipher or have less clarity. Nerfz supports our readers with thousands of hours of reporting and testing to help you find Nerfvana. The 35-drum magazines seem to be made of a plastic that doesn't suffer from this weird friction issue -- I don't know if it's actually a difference in the plastic material or maybe a slight difference in smoothness of the interior that causes differences in friction -- but the darts do seem to stick more to the interior of the new clear 18-dart clip.

S. (compared to the original Elite version's seventy-five feet), or twenty-seven meters in Europe (compared to the original Elite version's twenty meters). For instance, if you’ve been running around with it all day at a Nerf war, the batteries are going to be drained after a while. I threw some old 'orange' Nerf darts in a clip for some fun target practice and it gave the old darts about the same 'oomph' (range and velocity) as the new ones! The Ultimate Nerf Blaster Book misspells the blaster as the Rapidstrike CS-18 and the Rapid Strike CS-18. It was re-released in 2014 with improved Elite XD internals and a white, blue, grey, and orange color scheme; this re-release was shown off at the 2014 New York Toy Fair.

It is a shame that they're selling this with just an 18-dart clip -- at least the Stampede was shipped in an elaborate kit that included multiple clips and a bandolier belt to carry them. The RapidStrike is commonly modified to be smaller and "minimized" through the removal of most of the front half of the blaster. Having had this dart gun for a while, I'm noticing that the spring in the 18-dart clear plastic clip seems to have become somewhat weaker, and the something about the plastic that the clip is made from somehow causes or enables a great deal of friction between the tips of the dart and the interior of the clip. However, I also recommend setting aside its 18-dart clear plastic clip and picking up one of the 35-dart drum magazines to use with it, instead. He has a deep understanding of how batteries work, and he's always on the lookout for new ways to improve their performance.

Step 2: Gently pull out the battery holder, and you’ll see the set of batteries (on both sides of the tray) already connected inside the compartment. It has a well-made feel to it (as most of Nerf's dart guns do), it feels comfortable, and there are no parts that creak as if they're going to fall off. Around the time of the blaster's release, the official Nerf page on Facebook boasted that the RapidStrike could unload its clip in 5.

The motors driving the flywheels really are noisier than they need to be -- the motors in the Stryfe are definitely quieter.
