About this deal

In the vast majority of cases we will not be able to install the cabinet doors to built-in laundry products as the fittings very rarely match up. We will try our best however if we are unable to do this we will still install connect to plumbing and put the appliance in situ. The Marantz, following upon several other CD players I have had, including the Arcam FMJ CD 23, Schiit Ygdrassil DAC, Rega Apollo, a Cambridge player (forget the model #), shows itself to be a good performer. It does not, however, see "into" the soundstage in the sense of sounding completely organic. There is a sense of a "remove" from "being there" and is more like hearing it through a very slightly dry presentation with a very fine scrim over the sound. The sound approaches "liquidity" (which is how sound moves through the air in real life. We hear it every day). Considering its price, that might not be expected in such a modest player, but "organic" is, nonetheless, high on my list since the rest of my system (ARC/Shunyata/Nola) can do this. Music Direct reserves the right to change the terms of this promotion or discontinue this offer at any time. The audio power supply employs high speed, high current Shottky Barrier Diodes and new higher value current storage capacitors compared to the previous model. The size of the power supply capacitors has been increased by 120% for improved current stability and reduced AC noise during high demanding listening sessions. Marantz HDAM® (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) SA2 used in analog circuitry for faster signal transfer and better transient response

We do provide installation options for built-in appliances providing it is simply a case of fitting the appliance and furniture doors. Any additional work to the kitchen units or carpentry work required will need to be completed at the customer’s expense. Any extended warranties offered by Peter Tyson are free. We do not include any form of insurance terms such as accidental damage or loan equipment cover. A pre-amplified subwoofer output (RCA mono) is also included, along with a stereo RCA output and a headphone output on the front panel. The A and B speaker terminals are screw-type models compatible with banana plugs. They allow you to power two pairs of speakers or to wire the woofers and other drivers separately on speakers compatible with bi-wiring and bi-amping. The Marantz PM6007’s terminals have small covers that simply need to be removed if you want to use banana plugs. Marantz PM6007: key specifications Amplification Despite the success of the Model 9 mono amp and the Model 10 tuner, Marantz encountered financial difficulties in the early 1960s. The company was acquired by Superscope and began to focus on producing more affordable products. Marantz also began manufacturing products in Japan with the creation of Marantz Japan (1975). The Marantz Model 1 preamplifier was directly derived from the Audio Consolette developed by Saul Marantz.

What's in the box:

High-quality sound even from demanding headphones: Full discrete headphone amplifier with HDAM-SA2, gain control and auto off function.

Note: The USB-A port does not support Apple iOS or Android devices, Windows PC or Mac computers, and USB hubs or card-readers. Unfortunately, our Installation Service excludes all gas appliances. It is the customer’s responsibility to find a gas safe engineer to connect the appliance. Any work conducted by a third part gas safe engineer will be at the customer’s expense and we will not accept any liability for their work. CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4, CA5, CA6, CA7, CA8, CA9, CA10, CA11, CA12, CA13, CA14, CA15, CA16, CA17, CA18, CA19, CA20, CA21, CA22, CA23, CA24, CA25, CA26, CA27, CA28. The amplifier powered the Elipson Prestige Facet 8B compact speakers (6 ohms, 91 dB) with ease and also managed to power a pair of 3-way floorstanding speakers equipped with 6½” midrange and low frequency drivers (8 ohms, 92 dB). We were able to turn the volume up unreasonably high with both pairs of speakers without the amplifier faltering. The new, high-quality AK4490 DAC along with 2 selectable filter options converts digital signals to analogue, this is then ‘pushed’ to the gold-plated synch outputs by Marantz’s proprietary small signal amplifier, the HDAM-SA2.

high-performance digital-to-analog converter handles high-res files from USB up to 24-bit-/192kHz (DSD up to 5.6MHz) Compared to the CD6006, the CD6007 offers an improved and redesigned headphone amplifier section. The CD6007 inherits the exclusive Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain settings (Low/Mid/High) for a perfect match with almost any brand of headphones for an optimal solo listening experience. However, if you prefer, the headphone amp is also equipped with an “Off Circuit” function that automatically turns off the headphone amplifier when a headphone is not connected to the unit to avoid any unwanted interference or noise. The Marantz company was officially founded in 1953. In his factory in Woodside, Queens (New York), Saul B. Marantz produced the Model 1 phono preamplifier, the Model 2 power amplifier (1952) and the Model 7 stereo preamplifier (1958), which remained a reference high-end audiophile preamplifier for many years. The Marantz Model 2 power amplifier was introduced in 1956 and was a tube model capable of operating in pentode mode (40W power) and triode mode (25W power). The Marantz PM6007’s amplification section can develop up to 2 x 45 watts into 8 ohms with very low distortion (0.08%). To do so, it uses HDAM S3 modules developed by Marantz and powered by a shielded toroidal transformer and a high-capacity power supply. The preamplification and amplification sections are separate and designed with discrete components to reduce noise and interference. Inside view of the Marantz PM6007 with the toroidal transformer at the top left. Underneath is the large extruded aluminum heatsink next to the amplification section. At the bottom right is the digital section inside a shielded box bearing the Marantz logo.
