About this deal

Yeast Extract, Caramel Powder (Colour, E150a), Palm Oil Citric Acid (Acidity Regulator, E330), Silicon Dioxide (AntiCaking Agent, E551), Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate (Flavour Enhancers, E627, E631).

The Noodles are MSG free and suitable for vegetarians according to the packet as well as being tasty, good value at just over 30p a packet paid. There are two sachets included with these noodles, one being a very orange oil with very gritty bits of presumably chilli, and some chunks of perhaps garlic or ginger within it (after eating over half of them I still haven't worked out which one it is). These sachets are generously sized which means you can add as much as you want depending on your taste. I would be embarassed to tell my Uni-dorm roommates that these are even "spicy" to be totally honest. Trust in Chinese food products has been somewhat thin with the variety of food scandals China has had. However, as stated before, these flavourings are definitely not hot, at least when diluted by the reccomended 300ml of water per packet is added. What would be very nice is If KO-LEE offered a 24 pack variety box that includes 8 packets of each of the varieties of "GO Noodles" they currently sell. Some mention that they are not too hot and not too mild, with a really nice warming and umami ish flavour.

Noodles: WHEAT flour, palm oil, salt, raising agent (sodium carbonate E500), acid regulator (potassium carbonate E501), emulsifier (phosphate E452), thickener (sodium alginate E401) Seasoning sachets: hydrolised plant protein (contains SOYBEANS), salt, sugar, pepper powder, caramel powder, mushroom powder, coarse chili, vegetable oil (palm olein), chili powder, flavour enhancers (disodium guanylate E627, disodium inosinate E931, disodium succinate E364). It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Zoom by Ocado's prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. Others say that they're disappointed that they’re not even slightly hot and that the instructions are misleading. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it is accurate, it is not a substitute for your reading the product packaging and label prior to use.I have had spicy noodles in the past that are all spice and no taste, but these definitely have a distinctive taste to them as well as the kick. At first I thought it was part of the pots ingredients but upon closer examination and testing with a lighter flame, it was plastic.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I find that the oil sachet is a pain to get all the bits out of, a lot of the gritty spices refuse to leave the sachet.

Don’t hesitate in making your decision to purchase these extremely tasty spicy noddles, you will not disappoint. If you do require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label.
