About this deal

The Advantage360 Pro comes with ZMK, an open-source firmware that allows you to customize every keycap. Instant configuration for Windows, Mac and non-Windows PC operating environments, includes Windows and Mac legended keys.

A bit like the hard wrist rests on the Moonlander, without the pads is actually fine and in some ways preferable. It's just my own frustration with so many quack "ergonomic" products that defend their products which create injuries by suggesting that consumers should just decide for themselves, because the manufacturers are just providing "options". Same for Bluetooth — I don't get the attraction — when are you taking your giant keyboard away from your desk? You connect a half, put it into bootloader mode by double pressing the reset switch with a paper clip, then drag your firmware file for the relevant half back onto it. If you have watched any of my other reviews on YouTube, or here you will know that a good portion of them cover keyboards.Value for money wise, right now, I still think the ZSA Moonlander is the best value-for-money split ergo board. I was excited for the 360 supporting ZMK but I've sworn off bluetooth where it can be avoided, so I'm probably going to just keep my plain-old Advantage until it dies and see if they're "fixed" the 360 line.

Because there are no Function (F1, F2, …) keys on the Advantage Pro 360, the Esc key is moved to the CapsLock. Anyone wanting to design a keyboard or even just remap an existing one should read John Napier’s excellent book Hands[1]. One aspect of the Kinesis Advantage360 I like is the fact that the body itself is split into two distinct pieces, a major departure from its predecessor, the Advantage2. Each module features three adjustable positioning options to raise the thumb side of the hand and reduce forearm over-rotation.I just want a fresh supply of the old Microsoft Natural Ergonomic keyboards from the late 90s/early 2000s, before they started using chiclet keys or mushy switches. e. no layers) version of Atreus that's still portable by having some smaller keys, will eventually talk about it more on https://reddit. And there is a handy on/off switch if you are travelling with your keyboard or want to ensure that it goes into deep sleep for maximum power conservation. A dedicated RF receiver for this may well have mitigated the sporadic connection woes I’ve got for example.

Additionally make sure your User-Agent is not empty and is something unique and descriptive and try again. First, the home row on the Advantage2 has sculpted, bigger keycaps, and it makes a difference because it helps with orientation. The only problem I had was I loved QMK (the custom Keyboard software Moonlander was also used under the hood), and the Kinesis Advantage2 came with proprietary firmware that was nothing compared to QMK.

That said, I loved the keyboardio so much that I recently received the updated model 100, and love it more than the original. A couple weeks ago, I received an OculusMeta Quest 2 VR headset, courtesy of the team at Plato with their first metaverse, virtual conference. The Advantage360 Professional features low-force tactile “brown” mechanical key switches and shine-through ABS plastic keycaps to support the optional white backlighting. I really wish the home row keycaps had a greater scoop but thankfully, due to the key well, your fingers are largely led to the correct place. Not GPL, anyways), so it can be linked to a proprietary vendor Bluetooth driver blob, which is presumably why they chose it.

Underneath the thumbs are some of the most used keys on the keyboard, from backspace to the spacebar. I had it in my head that swapping the switches out was one of the first things I would do but I honestly like the way it sounds and feels just fine. If you don't have that set of problems it can be either a lateral move or even a regression in your comfort/pain level.

I don’t move my computer often and use a dock so it would be nice to be able to just leave it plugged in without worrying about battery, but doing that requires both sides to each have a cable plugged into a power source. But for most of us, we will be getting a board that is not hotswap and comes with tactile Brown switches. I plan to use blank keycaps in the feature because, with all the customizations I made (more on this later), it doesn't make sense to use them. The all-new Advantage 360 features our patented Contoured keyboard design now in a fully split form factor for even more ergonomic adjustability. I broke my wrist a few years ago, and since then typing on anything without key wells is a bad idea.
