And that’s it for the Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar! To be honest, I’m mostly disappointed by the Calendar, mostly because of strings of forgettable days and builds, with items that were a stretch to connect to Christmas, the Guardians of the Galaxy or even the Holiday Special.

The box has incredibly detailed illustrations of festive Star Wars scenes and we like the fact that once opened, the playmat of this advent calendar immediately lies flat on the table, without having to put anything heavy on top of it. The instructions for each mini figure and/or build are highlighted clearly on the inside of each mini door, you’ll find nine characters including Emperor Palpatine, an Ewok and a Pit Droid in Christmas outfits, a Gonk Droid dressed as a reindeer and Omega with a sledge. The chestnuts are roasting, the carol singers and clearing their throats, and you’d be wise to wear a helmet and pads if you so much as step foot inside a department store on a Saturday afternoon.
