The hardcover issue consisted of 500 copies, most of which went to libraries, with the softcover issue making up the bulk of the first edition for sale to the public with a print run of 5,150 copies. K. Rowlingâ , and â Thomas Taylor1997â (lacking the space) on the copyright page, â 1 wandâ listed twice (as the first item and last item) on the â Other Equipmentâ list on page 53, Wendy Cooling quote at the base of the front board.

We know, of course, Harry will escape Vernon and Dudley but the narrative doesn't allow it to happen right away. First edition, 15th impression, paperback issue, inscribed by the author on the half-title, "To Jennifer, I've got to use your surname in a book!I cannot even begin to explain to you how much Harry Potter means to me, every single time I read these books I’m transported back to my childhood reading them for the first time again ❤️ honestly it’s my go to comfort read series!

There was a small chip to the bottom corner of page 17, NOT AFFECTING ANY OF THE TEXT which has been expertly repaired by a paper archivist using period Bloomsbury paper.Say you've spent the first 10 years of your life sleeping under the stairs of a family who loathes you. The true first edition is considered the 1997 UK Bloomsbury edition, and copies are extremely scarce.

This scarce Bloomsbury paperback edition has the First Issue points "The Wendy Cooling blurb to the front board" the word "wand" appears twice on page 53" the word "Philosopher's is misspelled "Philospher's" to the back cover and the words "Wizardry and Witchcraft" later changed to Witchcraft and Wizardry on later editions. A beautiful clean, bright copy with strongly colored outer wraps, EXTREMELY scarce in this condition!
