About this deal

Ryuusuke, feeling responsible for this death, too, decides to start helping people playing the game.

Overall pretty enjoyable, though I’m a little disappointed that it was just downhill after such a great start. At first, I did not realize just how long the story would be, the premise was a little flimsy, and the details laid out seemed to be leading down a predictable path. The Rib Woman” I suspect was born of Ito having an idea for a disturbing image and building a story around that.In typical Junji Ito fashion, shit gets weird on more than one occasion and there is some violence and gore that might not be for everyone. Asahi Sonorama collected the series' individual chapters into a tankōbon volume, which was released on May 20, 1997. Multiple-Choice Past: The boy at the crossroads is suggested to be either the unborn child that died with Midori's aunt (who was the first fortune-telling suicide), or the runaway elder son of the man who had affairs with both Midori's aunt and the "troubled woman" in the second chapter. Before it's official English release, it was completely scanlated by fans, with the title Undying Love. Miki had been struggling with one sided love, while Mitsuru had been depressed for being alone, but after hearing what the white clothed pretty boy had to say, they became happy.

I was hooked waiting to see where he’d take the story, and it was mostly interesting, though, again the ending is weak. Lean and Mean: The beautiful boy at the crossroads is unnaturally tall and the instigator for the current tragedies befalling the town. It also does a wonderful job of bringing together seemingly unrelated phenomena in dramatic, terrifying style. He has a crush on his friend Midori, but is afraid to tell her that he feels he was responsible for the death of her aunt. Acquitted Too Late: Eventually, the townsfolk and Ryusuke's classmates realize that he is not Pretty Boy. When a mass suicide occurs, the fog turns red from the blood, and when Ryusuke becomes the boy in white, the fog becomes softer and more ethereal. Some of the plots and panels are rather over the top but in the end, they still look fitting and sense-making. Ryuusuke is a 16-year-old boy who has moved back to Nanchou-shi after ten years due to his father's job.

The Pretty Boy starts killing teenage girls and women that seek his fortune and it's blamed on Ryusuke. While he seeks to find the cause and solution to this disturbing problem, he is challenged, for not only are the dead not leaving the crossroads, but Ryusuke fears that he may be tied to the mysterious events in more ways than one. Ryuusuke feels horribly guilty about the incident and becomes uneasy when faced with the topic of the game.Over the next several nights, the woman keeps coming back, asking for advice about her relationship with the married man. Midori becomes worried about Ryuusuke and attempts to follow him when he goes to help people, but she gets lost in the fog.
