About this deal

Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The LG On Screen Display software is excellent and in addition to it I also loaded the current panel drivers from LG. It should be fine for co-op gaming or sharing content casually, but it might bother professionals who need perfect image accuracy.

That extra breathing room lets you take advantage of the 144Hz refresh rate, and deploy demanding graphics options and settings, without sacrificing too much in way of pure image quality. Other highlights include the 3,440 X 1,440 resolution, 178 degrees viewing angles, AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync support, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDMI, DP, and USB up/downstream connectivity, as well as compatibility with 100 X 100 mm VESA mounts. TLDR: If you're looking for a "budget" ultrawide with majority of the features of what's on the market. The stand is very slim, but does take up a large footprint, and if your desk is cramped or shallow, you may have to make space or may find that it's just too close to your face to be comfortable.I've read some reviews where people have showed their distaste with a Vignetting effect along the top of the screen. This monitor has native FreeSync support that works over DisplayPort and HDMI, but over HDMI, it only works from 48 to 85Hz, and the connection is unstable at times. The HDR peak brightness is okay, close enough to meet the 400 cd/m² requirement for its DisplayHDR 400 certification. Certainly, productivity is unlikely the reason you’re investing in the UltraGear 34GP83A-B – it’s a gaming monitor after all. It's very consistent when displaying different content, and it's bright enough to overcome glare in most lighting conditions.

It has an sRGB mode that locks the colors to the sRGB color space so that they don't look oversaturated, and the white balance is also great. There aren't any noticeable issues with VRR in the desktop and games, except there's a thin gray bar at the top of the screen in games. bendable 120hz WOLED, AOC 24G2SP 24" 1920x1080 165hz SDR, LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 34" 34GN850 3440x1440 144hz (160hz OC) NanoIPS HDR, LG Ultrawide Gaming Monitor 34" 34UC79G 2560x1080 144hz IPS SDR, LG 24MK600 24" 1920x1080 75hz Freesync IPS SDR, BenQ EW2440ZH 24" 1920x1080 75hz VA SDR. PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X , Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 OC 24G , X570 AORUS Elite WIFI Motherboard, HyperX FURY 32GB DDR4-3200 RGB RAM, Creative Sound Blaster AE-9 Sound Card , Samsung 970 Evo Plus M. I believe my box may have been opened before since one of the hand holes for the styrofoam was broken, and the USB cable may have been taken. For reference, I've got a Ryzen 5800X and a 3080, so I can run all of those monitors, and G-Sync is decently important to me.

If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio.

It is a big monitor that will dominate even the largest desks, but the thin bezels ensure that you immerse yourself in the actual screen, rather than a boring build. The LG 34GP83A-B impressed with its low input lag, wide viewing angles, high color accuracy, fast response time, and VRR support despite its low HDR peak brightness, poor black levels, and limited stand. The LG 34PG83-A is certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400, allowing the monitor to playback HDR content for an enhanced viewing experience.
