It has become a simple case of passing the filament effortlessly though the detector at the top of the gantry, pressing the comfortable lever on the top of the print head before inserting the filament a few cm's and then releasing. The bridging tests are fine and the overhang only shows signs of struggling at 45º, though it still did achieve it. The worst affected here is TPU; whilst the extruder can print 70A TPU as if it was nothing, the TPU itself is quite sticky and grippy, so any extra friction in the system will cause it to grab and stick. The improvements should help prevent clogs, but you’re still limited to 260 degrees on the hotend – which is fine for most 3d printing enthusiasts anyway.

If you use the same bed temperature and filaments, it is recommended that you can level the printer once a week. As much as I am unlikely to use the full print volume for a single item in my public projects (I need to ensure others can print the parts on smaller printers) it does allow me to print several parts overnight or build larger items for personal projects. The other is the stepper motor driver cooling fan, and for a similar reason as before, if there is no power going through the stepper motors, such as them being locked and unpowered, they are creating no heat and therefore do not need to be cooled.Similarly there are four control knobs on the underside of the print bed for levelling adjustment when the variance in the surface height is too extreme for the auto levelling feature. It can be overcome simply by switching the printer off when not printing - but sometimes between prints it can be a little tiring. The touch screen base screws into the side, but one of the screws is in such an awkward spot we couldn’t get the Allen wrench in there, so we left it off. Their is a fleck of red partially though the print but this is the filament used in the factory when testing which was not fully purged when changing the filament colour to the one I was using.We could probably find a better wrench, but we like to assemble printers for review with the tools provided. This is because I think it is less prone to damage when the machine is connected to a computer for direct printing.
