About this deal

There is NFC as well built in the speaker, which helps you connect your source without having to search for the bluetooth, if your smartphone or source is NFC enabled. We liked the fact that you can pre-program your party or event with your favorite playlist from a USB thumb drive while connected to the PartyBox 300. Furthermore, the speaker supports wireless connection via TWS (True Wireless Stereo) using Bluetooth connection for up to 2 speakers, or wired via RCA output to another speaker. We particularly liked the fact that the JBL PartyBox comes with a USB port which allows you to charge other USB devices straight from the speaker, so you do not require an extra charger to keep your smartphone devices powered up.

The bass is powerful and punchy but controlled. The mids are very detailed and dynamic, and highs are perfectly clear. You will get this kind of neutral sound signature when the EQ is off. If you want bassier sound, or if you want to emphasize the voices and midrange, you can play with EQ presets and those adjustable EQ bands (+/- 12dB) and find the type of sound that you like. Exos-9 is also very loud. It’s one of the loudest Bluetooth speakers on the market (max SPL is rated at 100+dB) which makes it great for parties. The distortion is almost nonexistent and the bass stays controlled and it doesn’t overpower the midrange even at full volume. So, there is quite a bit to talk about EXOS 9, it is a unique product with a lot going on for it. First, and foremost, you have to imagine that this is a huge speaker. This ain’t one of those small-ish portable Bluetooth speakers, this is something that will keep your party going if you install it in a large hall. It will also provide a beautiful bass, and I have fallen in love with the bass more than anything from its sound.

Exos-9 can be connected to different audio sources (phones, tablets, PCs) via Bluetooth or via AUX input. The speaker features support for A2DP ( Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AAC, aptX, and SBC audio codecs. It also supports fast pairing thanks to the NFC feature (it can be used for pairing with NFC-enabled Android devices). It is also possible to pair two Exos-9 speakers together thanks to the LINK feature. The PartyBox 300 speaker provides JBL signature sound with an immersive audio experience at home that brings to live audio experiences with extremely loud sound. If you are looking for one of the loudest Bluetooth speakers that can produce a tonne of volume for party events, the JBL PartyBox 300 is a great choice. Sound Performance

The new Aiwa company adopted the old-school boombox design. Maybe they wanted to pay their respects to famous Aiwa boomboxes or to match this well-known name with a well-known design and make the product recognizable. They also managed to modernize this retro design and make it more visually appealing to new generations. The sound of the Aiwa Exos-9 is powerful and very clear. Five integrated loudspeakers, including a 6.5-inch subwoofer with an output of 200 watts, ensure this. With the help of the equalizer, it was possible to adapt the AUX mode to one’s own wishes to a great extent. Everything is possible with the Exos-9, from balanced to bass-heavy to high-frequency sound. We were very satisfied with that. We noticed particularly positively that the settings are consistently maintained even at high volumes – even bass-stressed sound is still perfectly reproduced at high volumes. Conclusion If you need even louder sound (for parties) or slightly better stereo separation, you can also pair two Exos-9 speakers together by pressing the LINK buttons on both speakers. They have to be less than 20ft away from each other. There are two modes available – dual stereo (for louder sound – both speakers will play the same audio), and stereo separated (for better stereo separation – one speaker acts as the left and the other as the right audio channel). Their primary purposes are completely different. SoundTouch 30 is a wi-fi speaker (Exos-9 only features Bluetooth). Soundtouch 30 is designed to be part of your multiroom speaker system. SoundTouch 30 features Alexa support and allows you to stream any audio content from your devices via your home wi-fi network. On the rear panel, you will find a carrying handle (at the top), large bass reflex port (for improved bass response), battery compartment, and input ports.

The Bluetooth has good range and is reliable, I was able to still have good signal, no dropouts, and reliable connection even from across two rooms, larger in size. This means that you probably won’t have issues even if you’re actually using the speaker at a party and dancing around. The battery has a life of about 9 hours, for a moderate volume level, but that will be cut a bit shorter if you’ll be using the speaker at its maximum volume, but in that case you’ll surely either be at a rave, or have the cops called on you for noise disturbance, and I’m not half joking, this is a loud speaker at maximum volume. The Bluetooth has good range and is reliable, I was able to still have good signal, no dropouts, and reliable connection even from across two rooms, larger in size. This means that you probably won't have issues even if you're actually using the speaker at a party and dancing around. The battery has a life of about 9 hours, for a moderate volume level, but that will be cut a bit shorter if you'll be using the speaker at its maximum volume, but in that case you'll surely either be at a rave, or have the cops called on you for noise disturbance, and I'm not half joking, this is a loud speaker at maximum volume. We listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. I recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new music! The playlists are different for Spotify, Tidal and Youtube, and based on the songs I enjoy and are available on each! Now this is not a good comparison here. Someone literally expected the Exos 9 to sound as good as their studio speakers. Let’s take a look at some facts on why this shouldn’t have been surprising. You can have some of the best sounding drivers in a single cabinet. But when you have two separate cabinets with one 6.5′ woofer in each, the results are going to be obvious. Not only do you have an extra 6.5′ woofer, you have them further apart. Not only are you going to get louder, you’re going to have better imaging as well. But the Aiwa Exos 9 was designed to be taken with you. Try caring two cabinets (trust me, I’ve done this) as it doesn’t work that well. Now the Aiwa Exos 9 does support linking however. You can literally pair one to another and have two separate left and right channels. I’m sure this reviewer would be surprised if he would’ve tried this. What’s more interesting, I saw someone link two Aiwas together and spreading them out 100 feet away from each other. Now that would make for some interesting imaging outside. His neighbors also complained due to how loud they got. I’m going to buy another when it’s warm outside and try two linked together. It’s just not as loud as everyone says… To start, the Exos-9 is big, heavy and loud, which makes it perfect for kid’s basement parties and both indoor and outdoor get-togethers. Even though the Exos-9 can be used outdoors, it is neither waterproof nor water resistant. Aiwa does offer an optional carrying case which gives the speaker an IPX4 splash and dustproof rating. The USB powebank port can be used for charging phones or tablets. Assuming that the capacity of the battery is 15,600mAh, you can fully recharge Samsung S9 or iPhone X 5 times. Sound quality is probably the best thing about Aiwa Exos-9. If you are searching for a balanced and loud sound, and you want a battery-operated Bluetooth speaker, then Exos-9 is one of the best choices. While we listened to considerably more songs than those named in this playlist, those are excellent for identifying certain aspects of the sound, like PRaT, Texturization, Detail, Resolution, Dynamics, Impact, and overall tonality. We recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you're searching for new most, most of them being rather catchy. Bose SoundTouch 30 and Exos-9 have similar design and size (but SoundTouch 30 is much heavier). They both support Bluetooth wireless streaming and that’s about it when it comes to similarities.
