About this deal

One supposes that if film industry made this whole 48 fps tech, they would have thought of this, although their answer might have been to downgrade to 24 fps. Additionally, it looks like this release comes with a digital copy and packaging features a slipcover. Disney where's the NEW 4K scans of ALIEN, ALIENS, ALIEN 3, Commando, True Lies, The Abyss on Blu-ray or 4K UHD such a shame these legendary titles are lost in the abyss. A four-disc Blu-ray + Digital set, the 3-D version of the film is spread over two BD-50 discs, a BD-50 disc for the 2-D presentation, and a BD-50 for bonus features.

My only “however” point - and this is an issue I have with streaming 4K as a whole - I did experience some intermittent macroblocking around deep blacks and shadows with varying light sources.Great to see all these physical disc releases though which show that the physical disc medium is still very much alive! Spider’s Web– James Cameron introduced the human character of Spider into the fabric of Pandora – thus creating a host of technological challenges on set…and an incredible journey for the young actor, Jack Champion. The Hobbit was widely considered to be an HFR failure – viewers appreciated the visual crispness of the film, which was shot and projected at 48 frames-per-second, but found that its fast motion scenes had an uncomfortable “video-like” look.

Well, they don't relate at all - Avatar: The Last Airbender is an animated series from Nickelodeon that recently re-emerged in the popular consciousness due to new streaming deals on Netflix, and bears no relationship to James Cameron's film series. Also, it's great to see this get a 3D blu ray release here in the US, though a 3D steelbook would have been even better. It’s a lovely accompaniment to the film and never overpowers the mix delivering maximum emotional impact for many key sequences.Led by the Recombinant Na'vi avatar clone of Mile Quaritch (Stephen Lang), a team of lethal resurrected RDA mercs is on the hunt for Jake and his family to halt a revolt before it even starts. Been recently thinking about firing up the ol' Epson and watch some 3D on the big screen, just needed to settle on what I wanted to watch (and hoping my projector would till turn over after maybe 5!
