About this deal

All the Warcry factions have their strengths and weaknesses. Killing the opposition will always help you achieve your objectives, but it’s not that simple and you’ll always need to control the board to some extent. If you do take a monster they are so expensive in terms of points that it does drastically affect how your warband plays in terms of ability to control the board and hold objectives, so I would play a few games with your Warband as is before adding in a monster. Some amongst the Spire Tyrants view the battlefield as an arena. These Frenzied Ragers stand alone, recognizing that although they may form alliances in the arena, and then join greater alliances outside it, they are not born to such allegiances. [2] Pit Veterans Introduced in the new season of Warcry, Reactions are things that can be done in certain circumstances, but always during the enemy turn. They cost one action, so they can be used only by fighters that have not activated yet or are waiting. There are 3 universal reactions and one specific to each warband:

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Warcry is a skirmish game that recontextualizes some of the factions that you know and love from the base game. This guide will show you all the info you need to understand how the Spire Tyrants work and how you can use them the best. There are fun alternatives like Hosts of the Everchosen if you want to run a hyper elite army of Archaon with all Varanguard. You do have options. The Iron Golems and Spire Tyrants have gotten some decent play in some Idolator lists even before this change. Iron Golems marked with Nurgle become one of the hardest units in your army to dislodge, while Spire Tyrants marked with Khorne can put out some decent damage on the charge. Being able to take it in any of the subfactions will open up a breadth of new options. Core Battalions The shields wielded by Venombloods fulfill a dual purpose. With their sharp edges smeared in venom, the line between defensive tool and weapon of murder blurs to nothing. Armed with a whip or spear, these fighters do not hesitate to apply poisons from the safety of distance. With 9 fighter types, the Spire Tyrants are diverse to play out of the box and very rewarding to customise if you’re looking to get multiple sets. They’re HARD HITTING

Generally speaking, Nurgle tends to pull ahead mathematically. All Nurgle heroes grant Reroll 1s to wound, and as wound buffs are harder to come by you generally want them when you can get them. If its your general it gives a +1 to damage. Ouch! Khorne has some value as a General, allowing you to reroll 1s to hit or +1 to wound if its your general. Slaanesh is pretty limited and Undivided and Tzeentch can go in the dumpster. I don’t think an optimized Spire Tyrants lists needs a Frenzied Rager, but if you care about narrative and visuals, he is a must-bring like the Bestigor, since the diversity of the Spire Tyrants warband is part of its lore and cool aesthetic. Abilities for the Spire Tyrants Warband It’s the color of these plates that unites the visuals of a warband that otherwise looks like models from a handful of different kits. Brutal Strike (Quad, Headclaimer and Bestigor Destroyer): A good chance to allocate 8 damage to an engaged enemy. The Spire Tyrants are warriors and pit fighters from the fighting pits of the Varenspire. Only the most brutal, skilled, and determined to survive the pits and make it out. After surviving the pits, they seek bigger challenges and glory and the best place for that is at the Everchosen's side.

The 3” whip enables the Venomblood to fight at a greater distance. While nowhere near as killy as the Spear-armed variant, the whip is a good applicator of Paralysing Venom. Smear toxins across your lash and give the enemy a taste from behind the safety of a Chaff screen. In scenarios that revolve around killing the enemy warband/leader, you’re in your element. In objective-based scenarios you are still better off deploying as aggressively as possible. This will disrupt the enemy ability to do the same, which you cannot afford. Centaurion Marshal - Chaos Lord - Chaos Sorcerer Lord - Darkoath Chieftain - Darkoath Warqueen - Exalted Hero of Chaos - Ogroid Myrmidon Like all of the chaos warbands that are not “borrowed” from Age of Sigmar, they have a dedicated warband box.
