Awhile back an ex girlfriend bought me this bottle as she really liked the smell, when I first got it I thought it was a pretty good scent. A bit of a bummer that they changed the formulation, I haven’t smelled the new EDT release but many people say it doesn’t smell as good as this one. Maybe it's the fact that Armani has listed Iris as one of the notes and people just assume that is what they are smelling? Overall it‘s quite masculine and to my nose something more of a mature scent for a well put together guy. If I had just gone by the reviews here and the note breakdown, I wouldn't have even got a sample of this.
for Giorgio Armani because they don't deserve 5 full points after they did a great cologne so dirty like that. I leave it in my car’s glove compartment the days I forget to apply anything because this one is just so fail-safe and perfect for any occasion. My last bottle was in 2018 , i have some others bottles from 2008 , 2012 , 2018 almost empty but i can spray and check the changes between the versions.
When I think of an iris bomb fragrance, I think of; Dior Homme original, Valentino Uomo, the Givenchy Gentleman line, even Ralph's Club Elixir.

It does have that iris/powder thing going which softens the whole thing a bit and makes it pleasant.
Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani fragrances are constructed around a simple fragrance concept, interpreting t. Deep smell, so obviously something that reminds me of evenings similar to Sauvage Elixir, but works well at day too.
But I dare say that, when it comes to men's fragrances, it seems that was always missing something, at least until the year 2004. Metallic iris vibe and strong dose of Tonka beneath it, the airy aspect helps it to stay a versatile and signature scent worthy.
You'd be able to wear this at clubs, dates, intimate moments yet this has the versatility to grow with you as it has the potential to work as well for formal stuff such as graduations, dinner parties and professional settings where suits and ties may or may be required.Code can be your signature fragrance or maybe just for date nights, I cannot believe how versatile it is for a leather fragrance, due to that citrus opening providing a smooth transition from citrus to sexy. It has a slightly animalic/skin quality to it mixed with the leather and tonka bean which is the most prominent to me. Just did a test spray on my hand, I expected a warmer fragrance but it’s surprisingly fresh and versatile smelling.
