About this deal

They replace the VTOL engines under the ship and module as well as the main propulsion units; plastic baffles detail the last. This edition of the 22” Eagle from MPC features shoulder pod and engine configuration from Eagle 2 and the famous laboratory pod featured in the “Metamorph” episode of Space: 1999. The remainder is largely made up of an episode guide, with more Japanese text and poor quality monochrome photos.

This item will be carefully packed and sent out in sturdy outer box via tracked courier or post, with full insurance.

Includes a copy of Roberto Baldassari's ultimate Eagle blueprints and Phil Rae's blueprint reprinted from SIG magazine. Initially included as part of MPC's Nuclear Waste Area 2 Diorama, MPC are now releasing the buggy with added features in its own kit! Fitting Part 37 around the fuel tanks proved tricky; I installed the combustion chambers (parts 38 and 39), then added the fuel pipe (Part 42).

clear acrylic and templates for the windows which will need to be cut out of the beak, instructions included. The Space 1999 Eagle 1 Transporter Deluxe Edition 1:72 Scale Model Kit is a mixed media kit with plastic ship parts and detailed resin parts.Following up its big 1/48 scale Space: 1999 Eagle transporter released in 2015, MPC has scaled the ship to 1/72 scale which makes it about 14 inches long. Includes additional resin parts to create the version of Eagle 1 that featured a lab pod as well as the booster pack. The true origin of the Space:1999 Hawk starship is a bit of a mystery, but it was fully intended to be a formidable weapon. I was needlessly worried about the weathering, and probably cleaned up the wash too much too, it definitely would have looked okay with a bit more dirt.

Packed full of features: New season 2 uniformed pilot figures come with the kit as well as new “soft landing” shoulder pod landing gear action.x 3" colour sheet of decals for the MPC/Airfix/Ertl Eagle kit (enough -with care- to cover two Eagles). The kit comes with an extensive water-slide decal sheet, a full-colour deco guide, and assembly instructions. The previous releases of the 12” version of the ship has always been well-received by fans and modellers everywhere. Next, I attached the module with the supplied screws, which make for a secure connection but they are visible on the model. It is the same scale as the MPC kit and attachments and decals produced by Tangents and Small Art Works may be used with it.

Related kits included here include a hangar set, moonbuggy and launch pad which can make near-studio quality dioramas with the Eagles. MPC builds onto its lineup of 14” Eagles by adding the popular “laboratory pod” along with the powerful spine booster. The first part contains pages packed with photos on high quality glossy paper (the first 8 pages comprises the cover and both sides of a fold-out poster).Limited edition of 50 copies, later extended to 100 (first batch of 25 released first week of August, second batch at the end of October 1998), and then 200 (in 1999). But after getting past the initial repetition of building the modular parts I started to really enjoy it. I think I would feel much more comfortable masking and painting the panelling on a larger model, I may need to do a larger Eagle at some point and I'd have a bit more confidence with it having done this one. The module is about 5 inches in length, although following the more detailed 1/24 command module seen in close-up.
