Barebells Crispy Nougat - Crispy Nougat has a crispy milk chocolate coating filled with a smooth nougat with delightful hints of vanilla wafer and roasted hazelnut pieces. A pretty standard protein bar flavour, Barebells’ mint offering doesn’t match the likes of Grenade, but it’s a pleasant bar for mint fanatics (but not if you’re expecting dark chocolate).

The delicious taste, is almost like you are enjoying a fan favourite such as Twix or Milky Way but with the health benefits, high protein content and only 200kcal for the 55g bar.Pulsin's range of tasty snack bars are packed full of feel-good nutritional goodness and balanced with the right amount super ingredients to power you through your workout, keep you fuller for longer. The centre here is slightly drier than those I’ve tried before, but it’s also not as ‘tough’ as previous bars – more fudge-y, like soft nougat. After a brief, albeit blissful, moment, the bar becomes regular old chocolate protein bar, until you move in for the next mouthful. The caramel layer is scarcely there and it didn’t deliver the hint of salt I was hoping for – and which would have really elevated the flavour. I’d have preferred some dark chocolate chips, especially since the dark chocolate flavour is definitely lacking here.
