In the absence of teacher explanation or narration of events, students must piece together the pattern or meaning themselves, developing focus, attention, and problem solving skills. People make the assumption that the bodies donated are for teaching medical students – and it is primarily for that – but in 2006 the law changed to allow bodies also to be used for medical research and surgical training.
