About this deal

You can adjust this saw’s miter angle up to 47° left, and 60° right. These are good ranges and should allow you to achieve just about any kind of miter you would need. The Motor This is one of the lightest 10″ sliding compound miter saws. It’s got enough features that there are lighter saws out there, but they still did really good with weight management on thismodel. Overall people find this saw very smooth, very accurate, and very much worth the money. This is why it has retained a high user rating in the online market for a long time. It’s built to last and has a decent warranty for the price tag. I would say for non-professionals, this tool will probably last a really long time. Please note the stand is supplied alone without any tools as per the product images which are for illustration purposes only

The beveling capabilities allow you to tilt the head left or right and the angle allowance is pretty significant. The DIYer can get a lot out of this saw as it would handle about any home-improvement job you could throw at it. Basically, the same benefits as applied to a contractor, only you may not put as many hours on it. And to conclude my Makita LS1018 review I would add this: The saw literally has great features for just about any type of user. However it’s decently priced, and DIYers, hobbyists, and woodworkers can also get great benefits from this tool

In most cases, the left will be a lesser angle. This is true here but the left still allows for a 47-degree adjustment. The right tilt angle allows for up to 60 degrees, which is substantial. Both sides have multiple tilt stops along the way to the max. Makita LS1018 Review Pros It also can handle a 45° miter cut thru an 8-1/2″ board. So again, really good capacities on the crosscut. This Makita miter saw stands out for professionals and for other fields of woodworkers. It is capable of working with a variety of different needs and that is perhaps why it’s such a great power tool. It doesn’t have a laser and the dust collection is just standard but remember that the saw itself was built for accuracy so you should be ok without that laser. The LS1018L 260mm slide compound mitre saw is equipped with a built in laser guide projecting a crisp cutting line onto the work piece providing fast, accurate alignment of the blade for extreme accuracy & increased productivity. It features full electronic power control maintaining a constant blade speed under load, electronic brake and soft start eliminating sudden movement on start up.

As the Makita LS1018L is equipped with a 260-millimetre wide blade the user can easily cut beams up to 9 centimetres deep. The large blade of MAKITA is indeed quite helpful. If you have worked with a power tool, you must have noticed a sudden jerk felt as soon as the machine is turned on. Thanks to the soft start technology, the MAKITA starts very smoothly when turned on, with the blade running slowly initially. The soft-start feature thus allows you to better control and grip the saw. After setting the unit up as per the manual to register all cutting planes at 90 degrees, no problems. This tool falls into the mid-range when it comes to price. It lines up with other tools in the same price range and has some details that many miter saws at this cost don’t have. In fact, it can be very hard to find a dual bevel compound saw at this price. It does have a bigger footprint due to the standard slide rails than it’s cousin, the Makita LS1019L, but that saw’s features come with a higher price tag (and total weight). The stand is easy to assemble with a tool-less installation and removal of the mitre saw. The DEBWST06 is 1150mm wide, with extendable arms up to 2550mm. When it comes to a miter saw like the Makita LS1018, it takes more than just some features that look good on paper. What is it that really sets such a saw apart from its competitors? Operating at an idle speed of up to 4300 RPM, the Makita LS1018L delivers fast and accurate cutting results. The saw's dimensions are 825 millimeters in width, 536 millimeters in depth, and 633 millimeters in height, providing a compact and portable design for ease of use and transportation. Weighing in at 19800 grams, the saw offers a sturdy build without compromising maneuverability.
