About this deal

Clothes, blankets, cats, boyfriend, all of it will smell like vanilla if it comes into contact with your sprayed areas. It's lighter and more feminine version of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford which makes this one seductive. That one smells like a rose and vanilla amber to me (with a hint of citrussy bergamot) and Casmir is a Ylang and vanilla amber (with peach jam that I get more of an apricot feel from! I guess I would have to say it is well blended, because I don’t pick up much in the way of individual notes. I brought it home, read the reviews, and ignored it a few days, because the reviews said it smelled like Vanilla Fields.

Michel Almairac is a favorite of mine, so I trust that it must have been stunning when first released. Like someone layered three different perfumes and all they have in common is they're all sickeningly sweet. This is a great, irreverent, vintage fragrance - I agree with the description of this as being bohemian - the bohemian, carefree cutie at the party. The scent isn't as strong in the newer bottles as it was back then, but if you overspray, the amazing peach vanilla accord will shine thru.

An 'oriental' and slightly gourmand fragrance which is comforting, nourishing and sensual all at once. Luckily doesn't smell at all like Shalimar, it's not giving you headaches or nausea even if is oriental perfume. But I actually came here to say that the dry-down gives me a white chocolate vibe as well, making my mouth water whenever I get a whiff of it. I am forever looking for a scent which comes even close to discontinued amarige mariage for me, which is my absolute favourite. Vanilla, myrrh, amber, benzoin, peach and geranium are the most noticeable notes and project you into luxury exotic adventures, and eastern journeys.com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission.

And, yes, the older Lancaster does seem to have a wee bit more depth, and definitely seems to last longer. Maybe a bit too peachy body cream for some people however if it smells body cream it smells like a high end one! Apart from the tart juicy opening, it remains linear thorough its extremely long-lasting life on the skin.

The strength kind of varies, on me it's not very strong on initial spray, but like foundation it's buildable for a stronger scent if you so desire. So as a kid I was hiding and occasionally smell it from the cap and I remember to secretly love this rich, warm, vanilla scent coming out of it. The Bottom Line: I remember the first time experiencing Casmir from a paper strip advertisement in Vanity Fair some time in late 1993—intoxication. Spreading out their aura just like a red carpet, they twirl and dance with a superb parade of natural scents, creating multiple emotions. I knew I was going to love this one even before I sniffed it just because of the bottle alone, but I had no idea that this fragrance would become a lifelong love affair and I never knew that a fragrance could change my life.

Rather, it’s very dense with accords, and the result is powdery sweet: I get more fruit than vanilla, peach and hints of floral jasmine.Casmir is no exception: it is loud and unapologetic, but has a curiously affable quality that makes you want to sniff closer instead of recoil in horror.
