About this deal

NOTE: Don't use the included USB extension cable with your G700s' USB cable. The G700s should be plugged directly into a USB port on your computer to minimize the amount of time required to charge. Onboard memory profiles: Configure your mouse once, use it across multiple PCs with 3 different profiles for individual players or games. Navigate to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\LGHUB, where [USERNAME] will be specific to your account.

This may be a manufacturing defect on my particular mouse only, but I've noticed that the scroll wheel is a little loose when it comes to moving it left and right. This makes it slightly awkward to push the scroll wheel left and right. The front of the mouse contains a micro USB port, allowing a cable to be connected and the mouse to be charged. This is also how the G700S is used as a wired mouse. Hard to find a grip comfortable for you but once you find it, you never have to worry about it again so not enough to take a star off. There are 3 LEDs on the side of the mouse which shows several different things. Depending on what color they are shows what it is showing. Green shows battery life, orange shows profile settings, and red shows dpi settings. If your receiver and product have the below logo, you have the Logi Bolt receiver and a Logi Bolt compatible product.Wireless mice are great for general purpose work, as they leave less clutter on your desk and having pixel-perfect accuracy or rapid sweeps isn’t required. The G700S unsurprisingly shines for web and media use then, with a comfortable fit, decent software for setting up macros and a long battery life (I got around 8 hours of continuous use before a recharge was needed). programmable controls: Use the optional Logitech Gaming Software to remap buttons to single actions or macros of your liking, or use the default configuration. It's a wireless mouse, so it inherently contains some of the problems with a wireless mouse. Most critically, it may die in the middle of use, which I have discussed before. But hey, you're looking to get into buying a wireless mouse, so you knew that already, right? After installing and/or updating Logitech Options on macOS Mojave or later, macOS requires user permission to be set. Please follow these steps.

NOTE: If you have the G700s plugged directly into your computer using the USB cable, you must remove the cable now to properly complete the reconnection procedure. The side material is not as grippy as I would like but still does the job very well and I would assume it is hard to make a hydrophobic coating or rubber so not much they could have been to change that so once again, score is not lowered. The mouse itself is a little heavier than what I was used to for a mouse, but after using it for so long it's not so bad. The top of the mouse is nice and smooth while the sides has a rough sand paper feel to it. This took a while to get used to as well but I really like it now. It also feels really great in the hand and it is a pleasure to use for long periods of time. Windows only — try a different USB port. If it makes a difference, try updating the motherboard USB chipset driver.

Scroll Wheel button in the middle is easy to reach when needed. It's about as much effort as MMB, and also does not get in the way. The bottom sensitivity button (G11) is a little more awkward to hit, but still isn't in the way. Even if you rested your hand as far forward as possible while still fitting the intended design of the mouse, you will not accidentally press these buttons. Full-speed USB performance whether wireless or wired: Executes commands up to eight times faster than a standard USB mouseThis mouse has so much to praise. Ergonomically, it is THE best mouse I have ever used. From all the buttons, to the battery door, to the overall design, it is perfect. It has no problems that are detrimental, and after 8 years of use it has relatively minimal wear, certainly no wear that has negatively impacted the core functionality of the mouse. If you are in the market for a high-end gaming wireless mouse, I wouldn't go anywhere else. But the most versatile aspect of the G700s is the optional wired charging cable. Plug it in, and the wireless mouse is suddenly a wired mouse, without so much as a hiccup—no waiting for drivers to install, no loss of data, no change in profiles. Plug it in, and you're good to keep playing exactly as you were. And it's not just a data connection, it's also a charging cable, letting you keep the battery juiced up without having to stop playing. Unlike the wireless Razer Naga , the Logitech G700s has no separate charging cradle. Middle-Mouse Button also fits this description, although it will require more force as expected for MMB. Speaking of MMB, it is very easy to press and keep your finger held on it without slipping, owing to the metal side-trims and (especially) the ridged rubber surface of the MMB. Certain games I play require heavy use of MMB, and this mouse has never failed in that department. Lets go over the functionality, pros, and the few cons and defects it has accumulated over its long life.

Logitech G700s Rechargeable Gaming Laser Mouse Review - PCMag

ConclusionDespite hoping for something special, we came away from our time with the G700 supremely disappointed. When connected via its data and charging cable the G700 performed very well and did a fine job of fragging our opposition in comfort and style. This is despite the mouse being a little heavier and larger thanks to the AA battery and extra circuitry inside. Yea, it's wireless! I've had odd locations for my computer setup over the years, and having a good wireless mouse has helped it a lot to not have a wired mouse get tangled with all the other stuff that needs to be wired. It is also worth noting that the connection to the computer is via a wireless USB-A port, which can also be stored inside the mouse's battery location for easy transport. Above: Some decent AWP kills with the G700S. Warning, music is super loud and the game is super casual.

It is also possible to recharge the battery by plugging in a USB-Micro-B (May have changed to USB-C in newer models!), however I do have complaints about this in the cons section. Unlike literally every other wireless mouse on the market, there is almost no latency over wireless. There is actually even less latency than most wired mice. It performs the same when used wired which I should probably mention, The tilting scroll wheel does not default to sidescrolling. Not that big of an issue considering you can program that easily so I am not going to lower the rating but still a bit disappointing.
