About this deal

On Coruscant, the Jedi Council has sent 4 of its most trusted Jedi Masters to arrest Senator Palpatine at his apartment suite. The very compact nose has been emphasised on the figure which looks accurate, but slightly odd in my opinion, however the incredible detail more than makes up for this minor drawback in my opinion. He has a serious, but somehow slightly sombre expression and a huge amount of wrinkles printed on his face which even reaches a point where the horn piece covers up the design.

Two faces are printed on the head piece, one of which shows his standard, more human, face with gritted teeth, blonde eyebrows, and many wrinkles which really expresses his anger as he fights the Jedi and is ideal. It includes minifigures of Mace Windu, Chancellor Palpatine, Kit Fisto, Anakin Skywalker, Saesee Tiin and Agen Kolar. The difference between the two isn't too large besides the fact that one has a TCW head and the other has a pupil one. The front however is highly detailed with a brown Jedi robe, a dark grey under-shirt and a dark grey belt. Uniquely among these six Minifigures, this is the first time an Agen Kolar Minifigure has been produced and will probably be the last unless they make another version of this scene in years to come. The legs and hips are dark tan as well and are unprinted which is a little disappointing given that most figures recently seem to have had some sort of leg printing. The Mon Calamari Starcruiser won the poll and was released in 2009 as the 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser set. Like Mace Windu, this torso lacks back printing, but again it would only be covered up by the cape anyway. I think it would have been better if they used the same explosion technique they did for the wall in the Lord of the Rings Helms Deep set. The head piece is printed with two alternative faces, one of which is simple with a slight smile (an odd choice in my opinion as he did not do any smiling in this scene), some black eyebrows, and several wrinkles and lines on his face, as well as his many scars which are very accurate to the film.

Near this area, there are also two mechanisms that throw Palpatine in the air to imidate his flipping he portrayed in his fighting style during the encounter of the Jedi Masters. He also has a dark red jacket on which has some tiny grey wavy lines printed on it, which are continued on the back of the torso and are also accurate to the film.

The interesting thing about Saesee is that he's been in three sets now, two of them being this most recent wave. it is very good growth investment for most LEGO investors, it has also proven to extremely valuable for most Star Wars / Episode III collectors. I think it represents pretty decent value consideringthe figures you're getting and the really well thought out design. This torso does have back printing unlike Mace Windu and Kit Fisto which shows some more of his creased Jedi robe and the rest of the belt.

On one of these it is possible to see the Naboo Royal Starship (I think we are all hoping for a Lego version of that one day). There's no problem with this though, if anything it makes it possible for anyone to make a Mace Windu if they have all of those existing parts. The pieces used to make the tops of both Agen Kolar’s and Saesee Tiin’s heads are both amazing and are printed with incredible detail. In 2008, Toys'R'Us asked Lego fans which Lego Star Wars set they would like to bre released in 2009.While accuracy may have suffered a little at the expense of play features, these features are good fun and this is an excellent representation of that fateful scene from Star Wars Episode III, the Revenge of the Sith. While Palpatine's Arrest has been only slightly overperforming the average yearly growth of many sets Star Wars sets, with an average annual growth rate of 11%, this set is strong investment for many LEGO collectors.
