About this deal

The repetitive rate is limited by the internal sampling clock jitters, accuracy of the triggering circuits etc. My Rigol DS1052E can show very similar artifacts if you turn on averaging and average a lot of traces. I see very superficial reviews with the conclusion “it is able to show a signal on screen, so it works”.

Make no mistake, I don’t know if intentionally or not, but the main segment for this device is electronics students, hobbyists and technicians with basic needs in an oscilloscope. There are Owon, Siglent and Rigol scopes that are only a little more expensive and much more accurate and user friendly. Dirt-cheap digital scopes have, in my experience, too many issues with aliasing, such that even the cheapest analog scope with one channel is more useful. You would also eliminate the scope probe by connecting the high speed pulse to the BNC (or other high speed connector) and using 50 ohms termination. Users can also effortlessly turn pages, delete images, and manipulate waveforms by zooming in, zooming out, or moving for a better analysis perspective.
