One interesting side effect has been that I’ve discovered that the cheap and cheerful dipole dramatically improves indoor reception, even though there are probably bal/unbal and 50/75Ω mismatches. With the telescopic aerial the Evoke was OK on London I, II & III but grumbled occasionally a bit on the BBC and D1 muxes; NOW Kent was unlistenable at any practical location downstairs and NOW Essex could only gurgle through in the odd hotspot upstairs. But the dipole mounted in a hotspot in the kitchen now delivers all 7 muxes quite happily. It has worked perfectly for 8 months then 2 weeks ago it all went wrong. The controller is lit and saying not connected to aerial. I have tried to connect by pressing the 3 buttons but it just says connecting but never does. None of the buttons respond on the controller and my phone was disconnected and says that I need an app to connect. The Pure Go app says that it is too old for my phone.
